Sythe memories

in light of the 10th anniversary, i just made this thread to share memories you have of the website... oldfags and newcomers alike.



the website was a lot of different when i initially joined and i have seen many changes. i remember the days of shakaka, daily, ironblade, zypur and k-3-v-1-n and hm0ng running the spam forum. sorta like that backstab kid. the irc days when x9 and those other "undesirables" haha were around.. the old skype crew.. oh and "j3susfuck" lol the real word is censored

then there were the days of user education with r33l2real... r2pleasent dominating the market (and still is?).. when it was cool to have tr1bal make you a signature.. the long endured rise and thankfully, fall of finn (so much f'ing drama!!!). people that weren't around for that have no idea the struggle it was with finn. there was tyro bossing it in the SFA. inpherus selling pins (lol). spyike720 was a bit of a player. back when there was an active witchhunt for sigex; sythe's most wanted.



lol there were some interesting times around here... i joined as a 14 year old kid in search of the once famous "sythe autominer" and stumbled across a community that i got attached to throughout my highschool days. thankyou for all the good times and congrats to 10 years again sythe.

I would have to say my biggest memory is in 2007 when I joined as a young ignorant little shit who had no clue about scammers or people who were out there to hurt you.

I remember getting scammed as a kid all the time and just wanting to have a safe and trustful community. I never understood how it worked until more recently.

I think a trust factor is the largest component in a digital black market, due to the high rates of fraud going on. I started to post more, start a vouch thread, donate a bit, and work hard for mini ranks.

Since I came back, I feel like a contributor to the community by always helping others, as well as keeping others informed of who is trying to scam or has scammed in the past.

I love sythe and hopefully in the future I can make some extra cash and grow as a user.

I enjoyed building my reputation, working my way up donor levels and hierarchy surprisingly to me. I'm still a newfag really so hopefully a lot of memories to come.

Wow this thread brought back all the feels. I can't even begin to describe what it was like to join sythe way back when. Thinking about it now, there were a few things that made the sythe memorable back in the day. Damn, the days without bleuskittle were fantastic.

Back in the day Tyro and I were forming an insurgency in the staff ranks against Finn and his friends. Fun times haha.

 

I was mostly a market fag but i remember the *********** drama. The finn is dishonest thread. Most of all i remember trading nick 2b pre eoc .50/m and going first. I remember picking up the western union dancing. I came right back and sold you another 2bil. Epic times i love this website.
