Your worst nightmare.
This isn't really a problem, but it does confuse me. And in a certain way, does disturb me.

NOTE: This should be interesting if your a Zolealarm anti-spyware user yourself.

When I installed zolealarm pro security suite, it scanned for programs already installed on my computer. It was one of the very first things it did.
I myself installed about 20-30 programs, most of which were games etc.

Now when it started scanning for programs installed, it came up with a frightening 2000+. Now these can either be .exe files stored on my computer, or really fully installed programs.
Either way, it was far beyond my expectations.

Now whenever I run an anti-spyware scan, it will display the obvious percentage of completion, the options to abort etc.
However, it also has a section saying "current data": And displays some DISTURBING things.
Like "win32.trojan.dropper" and at least 50 variations on disturbing names on things that end with worm, trojan, dropper, keylogger etc.

I'm quite interested as to find out whether that sections displays the things installed/found on my computer and are currently beeing scanned, or things it's looking for but is unable to find.
Seeing as usually with anti virus and/or spyware it will display the things currently beeing scanned, not searched for.

If it's the first case, it's not beeing detected as spyware, and having TONS of spyware on my computer goes unnoticed.

If anyone knows which is the case, I'd really appreciate an answer. Thanks.

Scanners nowadays usually display infected objects while it's scanning, so I'd say that your little program here is displaying results of the current scan. You got yourself a mighty problem if you say you have that many infections.

Personally I use avast, and it's really good. I suggest it if you're still having problems http://www.avast.com/

adaware is good.. and just as blupig said scanners now adays usually display infected objets while scanning

if its getting that much i would make a backup of your files because it might delete something important

EDIT: I just finished my research.. I do have a HUGE problem, and apparently am infected with over 50 forms of spy and adware.
Fortunately my firewall seems to neutralize them completely, and they are most likely dormant from before I re-installed windows.
They are picked up, prevented from operating, but apparently I have to remove them manually myself. Which I don't feel like doing >.<

Right now I'm downloading Avast. Lets see what we can do about the problem.

Thank you all for your help!

If spyware is your problem, I use AVG anti-spyware. It could probably to the stuffs for you.

I used AVG anti-spyware. It didn't detect any of the 50+ spyware programs on my computer. Worthless when it comes to the serious business tbh.

Spyware search and destroy is pretty good. I was gonna download zone alarm since something happen and my computer fucked up had to restore everything and lost like 10000 songs cause I never made a back up lol.

Gonna try avast.

I had I think over 100+viruses and stuff at one time if not more before because I took it to best buy and they said they found a shit load of stuff. it was before I learned about pc security and stuff lol.
