    Question bout epicbot

For my attention its better that Epicbot for now wont go off, for 2 reasons,
    1. People went from p2p to f2p when bots went down. Now certain bots are back [Epicbot & RiD] people are now becoming members again.

The case of 1. is that if Jagex take down the site immediadly they will lose some profits could decrease.

    2. Epicbot wasnt like Rsbuddy, Rsbuddy was the much bot abused in many locations around runescape and even dungeoneering. Epicbot is good but it isnt compared to rsbuddy. It had a fast response time but still epicbot is good.

Rsbuddy got sued because they were lived at U.S . I think Epicbot is outside the USA because they never sued them. It's better for now Jagex closes an eye and later on in 2013 he will put a second nuke-bot day.

    Question bout epicbot

No one knows, or can know.
    It's up to Jagex.

Apparently the Optimus update they talked about a few months back is supposed to wipe out the rest of the injection and reflection bots.
The bot nuke was pretty damn successful, so I assume Optimus will also be.

@Unknown. That is false -.-. Jagex DOES NOT sue botters for any reason, just the bot developers.

@Jam it doesn't matter how many bottesr are members, jagex doesn't care about that money and they have stated so many times. When Nexus/RSbuddy were up they were making a ton of money from member bottres, yet they still killed them off why? What's the point of having a bunch of botter members when it ruins the game for legits? Eventaully all the legits will leave, and the entire game would be botters giving money to jagex for membership, pointless. It also doesn't matter where you are located, you can't be 100% protected from lawsuits, they can find a way around it, and even if they do not, Optimus might kill them off.

    Question bout epicbot

@Yohojo - Jagex cares about business and money, its like youre renting it from them. Sure that bots started in 2006 or before but why this happened in 2011 october? Maybe many f2p's went p2p's and Jagex made good cash and started this chaos? Why p2p membership risen then? Jagex cares about money and business. Sure they could ban the player who's botting but doing the nuke was a good and bad thing.

The good was to get rid of bots and the game would be legit play again.

The bad was that Jagex lost many players with many p2p accounts that went f2p.
If Jagex thinks planning on a second Nuke he needs to think about it.
Epicbot and other bots may live for a while.

    Question bout epicbot

    ☼Members pay for membersip
    ☼Botters pay for memberip
(Botter bot for a few reasons 1: To support their main or 2: To gold farm (and maybe other reasons)
☼Gold farmers ruin the runescape economy, and overcrowd all areas
☼This causes many of the legits to quit/stop getting membership due to no more fun.
☼Now only botters are left paying for membership, but with no one to buy their gold etc everything's fucked.

Yes Jagex cares about making money, but they need the money coming from people who actually care about and enjoy the game, which will be no one if the game is abused by botters.

also, if they did care about money alone and nothing else, why did they even care to remove Nexus and the other bots? They were making TONs of money from all of the botters buying membership to bot all of the P2P money making methods, but jagex killed them off. Why? So legits could actually enjoy the game, and they have a chance to get more members to play who actually care.

    Question bout epicbot

I agree Yohojo that Jagex is against goldfarmers since they put a perm ban on them. The thing is that youre right they ruin the runescape game and economy [G.E Prices]. So the point could be by putting a nuke every 3 months so after the economy stabilies.
Since the October nuke, it was the most powerful nuke known that lasted almost 4-5months.
When bots were popular in 2010-2011, many Jagex servers were overcrowded. After the bot-nuke, jagex decreased their servers/worlds.
But maybe epicbot may live for a while

    Question bout epicbot

Actually Optimus was targeted at color or "screen scaper" bots and not reflection/injection.

Jagex actually does indeed sue players, and I am sure they have filed many cases against actual players just to set an example, because the fact remains when you use a bot that loads the RS client you are breaking DCMA Copyright laws.

Again Optimus was targeted at color bots and not injection/reflection. Also it does matter where you live because laws are different worldwide and some countries would not recognize the same laws Jagex feels that said companies are breaking.

They wouldn't sue the botters... they'd sue the bot makers.

    Question bout epicbot

Pretty sure Unkown is 5 years old. There is no way possible to ever go to jail for botting in any online game. Completely retarded to even think like that. Dont post if you have no understanding of real life.

On topic they will more than likely start a new law suite against Epicbot. They dont have to just not be in the US they have to be in a Country with little to no digital copyright laws. Either way there are many ways to get site shut down not only through the courts. I would wait and see how long it takes them to respond to the new bots coming out. If they dont act right away you can probably assume they wont be doing anything for a while.

The bot nuke day was a move Jagex used to buy time so they can soak up every last penny they can before it just gets dropped. Same thing is happening to WoW now. It is in the beginning stages of a bot take over. Jagex with their lax attitude with bots for so long started a new trend with almost all online games now. Bots are flooding game to game in waves and blowing the floor right out of the economies. Wow Gold is about the same price as rs gold and more and more bot farms from rs have moved over to wow in hopes of making money. Next will be Star Wars and after that games economy is crashed I assume there will be a new bot wave.

Basically expect bots to run rampant through every game you think of playing. Neither a bot nuke or warden will ever keep them down and are only becoming the thing to do in mmorpgs now days. Not even sure why anyone would want to bot in RS when its a wounded animal waiting to be put out of its misery.

    Question bout epicbot

All I can tel you folks is if they are from the location Thepiratebay.org is, digital copyright laws wont do shit to them. Jagex in general would get their laws shoved up their ass. I believe piratebays located in Sweden or some country with the S first. Dont think switzerland so it might be some others. They dont implement their digital copyright laws in that country. A site can be operated in the country that they dont have the copyright bullshit law and the site will stay up until the owner decides to take it down. In this case, I am praying epicbots servers/location is based in the country. Fuck Jagex and fuck Runescape, the games 10+ years old now and nothing but simple graphic upgrades. Compare MW3 to runescape and then you'll literally hate them as much as I do. Plus on top of all that, Jagex the creedy company that they are has never ever given their members discounts for memberships. Not once have I ever recieved a discount. Instead they "dont like how virtual goods are being sold" yet they offer the loytal project which in every view "sells virtual goods to others". How the fuck can you be that big of a hypocrite.
