    [Question] Account Recovery!

Myself and a genuine seller have been talking for hours regarding his account. After passing all the information over and attempting to recover account, it just doesn't work. We've tried multiple times... Just keeps getting denied.

He appears, however, to be able to recover it with ease. How do people actually trade accounts when I'm living in England and my friend in USA?

    We've tried everything...

    inb4trolls.

You just got scammed if you've already paid him.

    Reason:
The details aren't working for you?
That only means they are fake.

    Take a look:
    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1338521

I'm from england too, you wouldn't have a problem, id even give irl details so if anything goes wrong, you can come to my house and ill show you properly.

If it says that the details are wrong you've got scammed. If the details are right but you still get denied jagex does not have enough proof, that you are the original owner of the account. The (original) IP is really important (actually the most important thing) when trading Accounts. It may be that you got all right information but you still get denied.

He went first. He's been completely legitimate and even shared payment information as well as all the rest. My appeals just appear to keep being denied.

    We're at a halt....

That's exactly what I was thinking. How do people bypass this? I've tried looking up proxy's but none of them bypass the "java applet's" which are the boxes to enter information or even login.

Jagex checks IP locations and such. Seeing as your friend is from the USA and you're from the UK, they simply won't give you the recovery.
He made the account in the USA, he has logged into it continuously from the USA, never has anyone tried to access it from outside the USA. They recognize you're not from the USA and obviously know you're a "hacker" - in this case, an account buyer.

Well, that's just made me a sad panda. After all this effort, I thought I finally was going to be able to buy the account. I don't think I'll ever meet someone so genuine enough to let me recover before purchase.

I guess it's just not my time to start Runescape again...

    [Question] Account Recovery!

If you are buying an account , you have to ask him for all information, such as IP, ISP when created, first password ever, all passwords account had before, membership details, transaction ID. That is all , with less than that you can recover the account, i have bought 3 accounts before, none got recovered, but anyone with 8-10 vouches or more is because they are trusted, the most of them i think, because scammers which get that vouches would have scammed someone before of that, depending of vouches he haves. There are certain people that don't scam , some of them do, but you need to know who you are dealing with, I'm sure if he gives you all that information you won't have any problem getting it back, I went first in 2 cases, in 1 case i went 50/50 and it was the best way, Good luck buying your account, if interested in a good seller, just pm me, because i bought 2 accounts from a legit guy, bought them 1 year ago and he haven't recovered them. Good luck

Just use a proxy to the location where he lives. You won't be able to recover it from a different country unless you have every single bit of information, even then it may be hard.

That's why I'm trying to do. Although I can't find a proxy that'll run java.

You cant use HTTP proxies for this, you will need a socks proxy. If you want me to do a recovery test for you, add my MSN.
