    Question about WU

Sorry if this is a bad section for this.

Recently I've been looking at way to sell my gold and I always thought you needed to be 18 to use western union, but a friend told me you don't recently. I've looked it up but can't find a straightforward answer. I'm 16 and have no ID, if I were to use that question thing they offer, would I just be able to walk up and get my money, or do I need verification that I'm 18/ID Proof of name.

    Thanks
    bow

    Question about WU

"This Agreement is governed by Colorado law without regard to conflicts of law rules. If an Agreement provision is found invalid, remaining provisions shall be valid. Services are directed solely to persons 18 and over. The English language version controls if there is an inconsistency between English and non-English Agreement versions."

PayPal, WU and any other payment solution on the web, as far as United States law goes, are for those over age of 18 who are able to give legal consent to sign a contract.

Edit: Even though it says Colorado above, this applies to all states. Western Union is located in Englewood, CO.

    Question about WU

A lot of times WU allows under 18 to receive because some parents send their children money. However, you will probably need to get some form of state photo ID (probably will cost about $5) to be able to pick it up.

Wernis is right though, you should just ask.

    Question about WU

Just have someone you know that's 18 pick it up for you.

That way you also keep your personal information private.

    Question about WU

From who? I laugh how some people protect their ''identity''.

I understand that it is needed to save your Bank details, but not your name and surname.

    Question about WU

SE'ing and doxing is very common now a days, better to prevent it in every possible way you can.

Plenty of people want your info for whatever they can use it for.. recovering email accounts, runescape accounts, etc, etc.
Every piece of information helps them no matter what.

    Anyway, back on topic.
