Fuckin' BAM!
I'm thinking of actually converting to vb 2005 and leaving vb6, but i was just wondering how big is 2005 and .ziped or .rared.

EDIT:
Note: i'd like to know the size of the full version not the express version, thanks.

uh.. good luck finding a zipped version, lol. You will have to find an image file for it, and it's 1.5-4GB depending on the version you pick. Mine is 3.5GB and it's the team suite. Professional is 1.9GB i think and it contains all the languages + MSDN.

yep is about 3gb

but VB6? yeak, man get into .net as soon as you can you will soon see the what you have been missing

take it from someone that has been coding for the last 20 years, .net os by far the best thing yet

theres the problem lol. 3gb on dial up aint gonna happen rofl ^_^
What is the vb 2005 equivelant of vb6 enterprise edition.

and is it possible to get a download without the MSDN coz vb6 .zipped without the MSDN is like 300mb :p

and vb.net without anything extra would be around 1GB + the compatibility would be crap. Oh, and the equivalent of Enterprise is Team Suite.

Well, if the problem is that u have dial up, u can find somewhere that has split files, or u can get it from someone and ask them to split it. Im starting to learn vb6. I can always try get something for you, if you can tell me like a good tut, or something. But ill do it, just cuase i love the breakfast at tiffany thing!

PM me!

i sure hope you find a way to get the program, it really makes a difference

Well, couldn't you always start downloading it then just leave the computer on for a day or two without touching it?

I'd recommend upgrading to DSL or above.

lol i dont know if this would be of help to you but i downloaded the vb 2005 express edition i dont remember how big it was, maybe a little under 100mb and its FREE, you just register real quick and they give you a product key at no cost straight from Microsoft btw. im not really sure if you wanted something like this but i thought i would post!:)
