    Question about Retro Revival....

    I have a question...
If you used to play RSC with an account and you couldn't play in the 6 month rule thing, will you have your old account back in retro revival. Like I have an account in 2002 with party hats, I can't play with him now because of 6 month rule, will I play with him in Retro Revival?

They will be completely new servers, meaning your stats and items from the past will not effect what you have once these servers come out.

@Jobe - there will be both legit servers where you will need to work for your items and also cheat servers for those who just want to PK, or don't feel like working for their stats/items.

    Question about Retro Revival....

The private server thing really is a great idea. The community will be looking after itself - server owners will be able to assign moderators, I assume, who will then be able to.. well, moderate. Reports of abuse will be sent to the server owner, not Jagex. It will be the owners responsibility, or the responsibility of those with moderator position.

Of course, Jagex are a bit slow. Private servers have been around for years. But now they are welcoming it, actually supplying the server and tools, which is a big step forward. I only have one major concern. Everybody from the 'real' RuneScape Classic will migrate to the new, active servers - it'll be like the old days. Which is mainly good, but the current community will be lost in the crowd. Which isn't good.

That's why I strongly agree with what somebody on the official RuneScape forum suggested - some way of recognizing a player of the original RuneScape Classic. Some sort of item or cape or badge or something. And perhaps a skillcape in RS2? I really hope that Jagex implement some kind of feature to separate standard RSC players to the people who have been playing it for years - an optional feature, of course - some will probably prefer to be unnoticed. It will also give us the ability to finally know if our spare accounts have RSC access or not, without paying for Membership only to find out that the message 'You need a members account to log in to this world' actually meant 'You do not have access to RuneScape Classic'. Grr!

To answer the original posters question, no. If your account does not have access to RSC now, it never will. Unless Jagex release an official private server on which those who did not play within the 6 months can still play and have their old items/stats back. I doubt they will though.
