    Question about PayPal

Total bull, you think the amount of debts paypal has to collect.. let's say a minimum of 1000 a day at $10 a pop, that's $10,000 they would lose, per day.. AT MINIMUM. Ofcourse, no matter the amount, no matter where you are, they WILL use a debt collection agency to collect their money, and you WILL have to pay them. Unless you want a bad credit rating (Which sticks for 7 years) you will pay them. Sorry to say, but you will have to pay them back the amount owed. But I guess if your details aren't verified on PayPal, they can never really be sure that the person is who they say they are.

    Question about PayPal

Will try to make this as clear as possible, since i'm only posting once.

    You earn $900.

    Person does chargeback worth $400.

The $400 is put on "hold" so neither party gets it.

Your account is now $500. (simple math)

Now, if you add your credit card / bank / whatever, and withdraw all the money then lose the case (99.9% chance you'll lose since it's rsgp [virtual items aren't in paypal's TOS]) your account will go -$400.

Now, since you live in usa, paypal will hunt you down and call collections on you. You will get 3~6 months before people start knocking on your door. If you don't pay it back, it hits your credit report.

What I recommend? Wait until the case is over, whether you get lucky and win or lose. THEN withdraw the remaining balance. Then you won't owe paypal ANYTHING AT ALL.

if you're chinese they won't do anything. not being racist, they don't go to china.

    Question about PayPal

PayPal hate the Chinese lol. Also OP no one can help you if you don't say where your from lol. But I am pretty sure if PP accepted your credit card then they have some sort of presence there.

    Question about PayPal

And I'm quite certain, if your credit card is linked, their first option would be to automatically deduct it from the card that's linked, if that fails then they'll get debt collecter's involved.

    Question about PayPal

I've heard plenty of times that PayPal would never take money from your CC/Bank without your permission.

    Question about PayPal

I'm pretty sure it'd be illegal for them to charge your credit card without authorization.

    Question about PayPal

I know I said I wouldn't come back to this thread, but since there's so much stupid / misleading information, I felt it was my duty to help out.

PayPal doesn't go after Chinese for recovering funds. It's damn hard to sue the Chinese.

PayPal Will never "AUTOMATICALLY" take funds from a bank account or credit card to resolve a negative balance. UNLESS it's from ebay. (paypal is owned by ebay) Example, you sell item on ebay, spend the money, they dispute the money and get a refund, your paypal goes negative. eBay will charge your credit card first, then your bank account "AUTOMATICALLY" to get their money back.

Since this is person->to->person, paypal won't charge your credit card directly. You will get 3-6 months before they get debit collectors on you.

Sidenote: Your avatar is awesome asap.

    Incorrect, read their ToS.

Yes, but that won't stop debt collectors.
