Question About Buying Junk for Member Pins

Hello,

I am new to the new system of buying member pins where some person is to buy junk off of another person. Could some so kindly explain how this works? Does it require a P2P Account? All help is greatly appreciated.

Seller stocks up on readily available junk items (stuff no one buys and is quick to make and cheap to buy raw materials) such as unstrung bows.
Buyer buys the junk in bulk to equal whatever the cost of the pin is.
Seller gives Buyer PIN.

Probably willow logs. Or items like iron armor/bronze armor.
