Pure Charms

Ok so I'd like to start training Summoning on my pure, but I have no idea how to collect the thousands of charms I'm going to need to reach a decent level. I have no real experience with the skill, and being low defence puts me at a disadvantage for charm collecting.

What I would like to know is what is the most effective way to collect charms on my pure and what skills would be required?

 

Soul wars, is an ok income of charms if you really can't fight monsters which drop them.

 

Gold charms are easy. Most monsters will drop these.
Crimsons are a little harder, some monsters will drop these.
Greens are even rarer than crimsons.
And finally, blue charms are extremely rare.

I suggest googling the relevant charm type and look for monsters that drop them.

From experience, I suggest:

Gold Charms - Zamorak Warriors
Crimson Charms - ?
Green Charms - Abyssal Walkers
Blue Charms - ?

If you have a fairly high range level, I suggest safe spot ranging black dragons as they drop Crimson/Green/Blue charms 3 at a time.

Thanks for the suggestions, I may try safespotting dragons and see how it goes. Any more suggestions? I just read that I'll need something ridiculous like 30,000 crimsons to reach 99 Summon, so all help is appreciated!

 

Green - Jellies/Bloodvelds
Red - Shadow Warriors (under legends guild)
Blue - Rare on any charm dropping monster
Gold - Hellhounds/Firegiants

 

soul wars for charms imo is a waste of zeal. moss/hill giants and flesh crawlers give an alright amount of charms to start out. also i find wearing ring of wealth gives me more charms. not sure if its actually true or not.

 

Ranging fire giants in the waterfall is good for gold charms.

Killing iron/steel dragons are good for most charms because they drop 2-3 at a time but mostly green.

For crims/blues your at a disadvantage but... Abby demons, waterfiends are good for crims. Dark beast/gargs are good for blues.

Your probably not going to get the slayer level needed for demons/beast.
