Punishment for botting?

you told him it's 'always' 48 hour, so i said you're giving him mis-leading information allowing him to think if he bots he will only get a warning first time around, which is not accurate.. that's all.

 

I've had around 12 accounts banned for botting over the years, and all of them were a perm ban on the first offense.

Last Summer, I decided to play Runescape again, and I had a main account that was nearly completely maxed on RS3. I played it for over two years legitimately. I wasn't a fan of RS3 and thought it was pointless to play. They released OSRS, so I played it for around a week legit. After a while, I was getting bored and decided to bot instead of grind it out. I was banned within 24 hours for botting Pest Control and lost my primary. It was banned on both OSRS and RS3, making me lose an incredible account.

Ignore the people trying to say you will get a two-day ban for the first offense. If someone received a two-day ban, then they were incredibly lucky to have had an idiot staff member assigned to their case. I'm not even sure if staff members get assigned. I'm fairly sure they use software, and it automatically throws a permaban at your face when it notices your bot.

DO NOT bot your primary or important account. It is a MASSIVE risk.
