Known as the progenitor of eSports in the early days, StarCraft had a less successful sequel and brother in the form of StarCraft 2. Still alive and kicking, but barely making any dents into the world of e-Sports, we question its legitimacy and capability as an e-Sports title in this article.

Anyone still playing StarCraft 2? Do you think it can still thrive in today's e-Sports scene? (Which is also somewhat dominated by other Blizzard titles like Overwatch)

 

the only blizzard game thats ever actually 'made' it into the esports scene is overwatch hs and sc not that popular in that section

 

Yeah, Overwatch is undefeatable now. Perhaps in South Korea, SC still rules but it's a bit of a shame that the charm it has in South Korea was never carried over to the west.

 

i wouldnt say it is undefeatable now overwatch doesnt really meet the standards of the other big esports titles such as dota / csgo / lol
its more like its on the level of call of duty tbh
