Count the number of 360 exclusives that aren't being ported to the PC. Then count the number of PS3 exclusives that will never be ported to the PC.
Who cares about permanent exclusives that all SUCK? Drake of the 99 Dragons will never be a PS2 or Gamecube game, but is that a strike against either console? Hell no!
Since I am bored out of my mind I might as well go through that hella long list Muffinator so graciously made.
Glad I could be of service.
Halo 3, Bioshock, Gears of War = all on the PC, thus not completely exclusive (Halo 3 will be ported later on etc. Call it a timed exclusive if you will).
Gears of War has been PC ported. You're right.
But Bioshock? With all the DRM bullshit, you might as well not count it as a PC game.
As for Halo 3: Based on my experience with Halo 1 for PC, I can tell you that Halo 3 for PC
will suck, and here's why: Every Halo game requires many different button inputs other than move, aim, and shoot. With a console controller, it's intuitive where every segment of every finger will be and be able to move to, whereas with a keyboard, you can have your hands in any number of different places depending on the game; for Halo, it's one hand on the arrow keys, and the other on the mouse. The button inputs required to play Halo 3 well include: Fire right weapon (1), Fire left weapon/throw grenade (2), Reload right weapon/action (3), Reload left weapon/switch grenade (4), Switch weapon (5), Melee (6), Deploy Equipment (7), Jump (8), Zoom in/zoom out (9), and aiming and moving. On the PC, one hand is taken up entirely with movement, and possibly a pinky button, but that's incredibly awkward; the other hand holds the mouse, with aiming and up to three buttons. HOW DO YOU PRESS THE OTHER SIX BUTTONS?? I don't know about you, but I only have two hands.
Oh, and Guitar Hero 2 isn't 360 exclusive.
The thought didn't occur to me, which sounds even dumber when considering that I've
played both PS2 Guitar Heroes. I'm an idiot, plain and simple. Though I still seem to be about 30 times as intelligent as the video maker.
Considering it was a launch title, Resistance actually had pretty good graphics. Certainly wasn't a downpoint in any reviews. However, it was somewhat generic.
Who gives a shit about graphics OR reviews?
Your argument makes no sense. Has all their same problems too? Racing game problems? What?
I'm sorry, but I
really don't feel like explaining why racing games suck right now. I'll see if I can summarize...
Nearly every racing game involves not who is better, but who is less bad. The only way for me to win after making a mistake is if my opponent then makes two mistakes.
Games don't have to be out to be exclusive. Still, it's a long wait right now - not worth hyping...
The point is that you can't judge a game to be good if you can't play it, so anything that hasn't yet been publicly released can't be counted.
And this is a problem how?
It's November right now; Fifth Phantom Saga comes out in December; November comes before December.
Your opinion on racing games have no effect on it being an exclusive. Just because you don't like the genre doesn't make the game bad at all.
Don't like the genre? Mario Kart 64 is one of the best damn games ever made and I'll bitchslap anyone who disagrees. This is largely because it's so different from other racing games.
God of War 2 was great and did get amazing reviews (I'm assuming that was sarcasm). *Insert TBA rebuttal*
No, God of War
1 was great; God of War
2 was a steaming pile of shit with a rotten cherry on top.
GT series has been hailed the best racing series many a time.
Hailed when? Hailed by who? You, just now? This is what Wikipedia would call
weasel words.
Some people like their golf..
Even if you like golf, it still translates into videogames about the same way as fishing: Incredibly. Fucking. Boring.
Hailed as one of the best fighting games. Just because you have shitty coordination...
Wow, you're so far off the mark that I don't even know how to begin to explain this...
Alright, I've collected my thoughts. Would you rather play Game A or Game B...?
In Game A, winning consistently requires that you figure out when it's good to dodge away so your opponent can't hit you, when to block your opponent's attacks, how to predict your opponent's attacks and counter appropriately, and when there's an opening for you own attacks, then learn the reflexes necessary to utilize all of this.
In Game B, whoever memorizes more passwords and types them in faster wins.
Sold well and got decent reviews.
Also, Pokemon? A card game? WHAT TEH FUX????? THATLL NEVAR BE BIG!!!!11!!
/sarcasm
Pokemon the card game is okay, Pokemon the card game the videogame sucks: It just doesn't translate well.
Hailed as one of the best multiplayer experiences EVER (according to some reviewers), so no, your argument fails. Also, you can do more than just fly..
*Copy, paste* Hailed when? Hailed by who? You, just now?
Processor type
IBM PowerPC -xbox
IBM Cell -PS3
Graphics Processor /
Vendor ATI -Xbox
NVIDIA RSX - PS3 (We all know They rival eacher other)
But! Here's the catch
In Sony's favor, the PlayStation 3 appears to have a technological edge over the Xbox 360, boasting next-generation Blu-ray DVD compatibility and a graphics processing unit capable of pumping out pixels at the hitherto unimaginable--for console gaming--1080p high-definition resolution level. For its part, Microsoft's console will use current-generation DVDs, with resolutions topping out at 1080i and 720p. That's still high-definition, but in a future where 1080p televisions will be the gold standard of HD performance, the PS3 wins the numbers game.
