Proxying on RS

How can I access Runescape on a proxy? I've searched and found 2 options, tried both and I couldn't connect to Runescape. I tried putting a socks5 proxy in firefox and it said I couldn't connect, the proxy programs did nothing at all and just confused me.

So what can I do / how do you guys do it?

 

Easy. Use the Vidalia TOR bundle software. That always works. Or Zone Alarm, which is a firewall and proxy all-in-one.

 

ya its easy u can use web proxies too but one question why would u want to hide ur ip on rs?

You can proxy with a SOCK4 proxy,but it ain't easy.

the point of proxying is to be annoymous. That way you cant be IP banned -.-

 

RS isn't going to IP ban you. They don't do it often.

 

They do it if you keep on making account which you use to break the rules and then when they see that the accounts you make always get banned then they'll IP ban you. Like Daily500 said, they don't do it often.

 

If Jagex doesn't IPban hardly whats the point of concealing them eh?

 

I use TOR and it works awesome.

 

They don't really IP ban but from your IP they can easily find out any autoers you have and their connections and so on so they could ban like all your accounts involved with autoing or trading with autoers.

Proxies are extremely useful! I use XeroBank, the new version of torpark. It uses the TOR network. works great!

 

eh well if jagex does IP ban like they say they do . well now if u use a router u can change ur IP at will correct? so how would it be so hard to get arround? tip : they ban ur mac address
