Sorry, this is not proof. This is opinion, stating that each religion has the same probability to be wrong.

 

Validity, and Yes. They all have equal validity due to the fact that no religion has proof that god exists, yet they all claim to know so. Just because more people worship one religion doesn't give it a higher probability rating.

Is there more of a chance you're gonna like squash or apples when you come into the world? I think that's comparable.

All these religions believe in the same God. Take into consideration:
Judaism/Christianity/Islam
Yahweh/Jesus/Allah

different religions same god different names....
So yes their is a 99% chance I am not believing in the right religion, but their is a 100% I'm believing in the right god, to me that's what all that matters.

 

I would have to have to disagree, but in Christianity you have to accept Christ as the son of god to make it to heaven, in Islam you have to accept Muhammad as a prophet to make it to heaven, but hes not a prophet in Christianity or Judaism. In Islam they believe Jesus Christ was not the son of god but just a prophet. In Judaism they do not believe in Christ is the son of god so there for you wont go to heaven for just believe in same god. So i believe they are not the same at all.

 

You consider in this thread that you're not smarter than anyone else, and that there is only one true religion, and all religions have an equal chance of being true.

Why do you have faith?

 

Faith is when you believe in something without a physical proof. I have faith that your going to say something post after this point. I have faith that jesus is the son of god and his birthday is this month and il have chocolate cake tomorrow and eat it too.

You might as well say there are two possibilities "You live tomorrow, and you die tomorrow". The probability is 50/50.

It goes even beyond that. If a scientist gives you proof, you have to have faith in that he is not lieing to you or giving you false evidence. It really comes down to how much faith we have in something, but in reality we have more faith that we are aware of, we just don't all realize it.

 

We could all make up religions now but that doesn't mean it could be the right one. Maybe there is a right religion but no one will ever find it.

 

Basically my opinion: Who says there's a right/wrong religion? You aren't the one to choose, the person who's religion in question is. You're not the one to tell us if it's right or wrong, people worship freely, etc. You're atheist, so you say. Maybe you're worshiping nothing incorrectly? "1/1000?" You're probably wrong too.

Learn to spell.. 'You're' correctly, before making accusations about relgion.

Religion is man made. You're born into a specific religion. People don't become religous if they don't believe in what the religion represents.
The people that disagree with their religion either convert or boycott it.

 

Some of you guys may not know, but Islam actually has much in common with Judaism and Christianity. You can post your opinions, but if you want to state facts, try verify it before stating it on here. Tarum, Moses is spelled with an 's', not a 'z'. Also, you didn't mention that Adam and Abraham were prophetic predecessors of Muhammad, along with Moses and Jesus.

I'm not going to do any research, but look up 'Dome of the Rock'. It is supposedly on the traditional site of Adam's burial, of Abraham's preparation for Isaac's sacrifice, and of the Temple of Solomon the Romans destroyed in 70. It houses the rock (interior), from which Muslims later came to believe Muhammad ascended to Heaven. As you can see, many religions share common beliefs/theories, but it is up to that individual to accept or deny it.
If there are any Catholics, I will try find an interesting article I found on another forum, stating very interesting facts.

As for my beliefs, I am a proud member of a Christian church. If you do not believe God created the Heaven and the Earth, what do you believe then? Think about it. How was the world created? It just was here forever? You see life everywhere. From birds with their newborns hatching, baby plants, to a mother and her child. Death. War. This world has always been stained with sin. I may be worshipping the wrong religion, but I'll choose my belief in Christ through faith before I would ever doubt that there was ever a Creator. Interesting thread.

I'm sorry for mispelling a word, being born into a religion, converting or boycotting has nothing to do with following the right, or 'correct' religion. It seems like you're posting something irrelevant to the topic anyway.

This i agree with, but i don't really care which religion is correct. I can accept that i'm also following incorrectly, but it doesn't bother me. I'm here. Im going to live my life. What happens after isn't for me to worry about.

Some things have to be left up to assumption.

I agree with your view point. Blatently, each religions do not follow the same thing, or worship the same god.

Religion isn't about right or wrong's. It's about why and how's. How are you so sure that only one of these religions are true?

We can't really, argue, because none of us know the real truth. There could be god or there isn't. I'm religous myself, but even if i'm worshping god, there is not hurt to it though? I'm not saying there is no god. But i'm saying that if there is no god, then it doesn't matter if i worship something. Atleast i wouldn't have to worry about anything. But yet, i worship god, because i believe in it. So i have nothing to lose anyways.

 

I Didn't think there was anything to argue on, i thought the theory i placed was relatively easy to accept, People wont accept it because it's brute.
