Hey guys, I'm working on starting up a new bot type thing, kind of like epicbot and powerbot, except in python! Right now i'm working on my basic core functions like mouse moving and maths stuff, but I'm kind of stumped on the actual GUI part of it.

How would I get runescape into my GUI? I don't mean a web browser running www.runescape.com/game.ws, I mean only the java applet like powebot and epicbot. I know there's a way, I just don't know what it is!

If anyone could lead me in the right way (Or just give me the answer, I've been trying for days! ;) ), that would be aawwweeessoooommmee!! :)

Thanks!

Well you need to add a Java Applet
I don't know much about Python but you should probably look into Jython. Interesting question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8786842/python-alternative-to-java-applet

I assume you want to make a bot for 2013 RuneScape.

1. Get source page of http://www.runescape.com/game.ws
2. Get the jar link
3. Get the source page of the runescape link + jar link combined
4. Crawl through the source and save the parameters
5. Start the applet and make sure it can retrieve the parameters/values you grabbed.

Not sure if it's a good idea to code it in Python, you are probably better of just sticking with Java. Especially if you want to add reflection or injection later..

You lost me at 2 :p

I'm pretty bad with web stuff, i've never really gotten into HTML or any of those things. I guess ill stick with other projects for now, this seems waaaay to hard!

Thanks for the help!
