Problem with windows?

Well, yesterday i started noticing some weird things happening with windows...





(Notice in the second picture, the icon i was right clicking is actually the first picture. it was a .bmp file, but it has that "dont know which program to open with" icon. When i went to properties, it was a bmp, and it even said it is opening with windows picture and fax viewer (normal) and it had the correct symbol in the properties menu)

I did a full system virus scan, and it only turned up one cookie, which was deleted, and i restarted my computer. Neither of these worked. What is the deal here?

 

I think it could be a registry misinterpretation or a video driver issue. So, try these:
-Download CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/download)
-Run a cleaning scan first
-Then click the "registry" tab on the left side, scan and fix the errors
-Update graphics drivers

 

Seems like he already has Ccleaner judging by the screenie

 

System restore might help... Or you could just start fresh and wipe it... Thats good to do anyways... lol.
