Problem with Redeeming Moneypaks.

I just don't want to be charged with illegal activity. I'm just redeeming moneypaks for people. But sometimes I'll get people who send me over 3000$ worth of moneypaks and I get nervous that I might get in trouble with law enforcement.

I have been hit with the same thing. I wonder if they just have an imaginary cap set on our accounts? Seems silly to think about it like that but we are dealing with a Paypal partner so we cant always expect things to go smoothly.

They even refused to let me redeem a card that I bought personally even after contacting that pathetic excuse of customer service. I agree with Chaser, rip redemption services.

Seeing as you have no idea what the money is for, couldn't you be inadvertently be laundering money?

I'd love to get into MP redemptions because the extra $200/month would be a nice boost to my income, but fuck the legal woes.

 

It's only illegal if your sole intent is to launder illegally obtained money. I'm just providing a service.

 

Considering your service is depositing a moneypak from one party, and forwarding those funds to another party, you are likely in breach of their policies against money laundering regardless of your intent to commit money laundering.

 

While I see your point, I don't know how gold selling would look any different. You're taking goods from and sending money to one party and delivering gold to and receiving money from another. Since pp doesn't see the transfer of the gold, presumably all they see is (some amount) out, (some larger amount) in, etc.
