Do people ever merchant gold on here using paypal to make money?Meaning like find someone who's selling gold at .40 a mill, buy 100m, then go sell to someone who's buying for .45 a mill?

 

Yes all the time.
But good luck because a lot of people do it.
Then again it is a free market.

 

Would I be fairly successful if I just made the margin of profit tiny? Suppose making only 1-2 cents a mil?

 

They majorly purchase through PayPal but also buy large amounts through other payment options like WU. They then sell through PA and other demanding payment options. They never sell directly through PayPal without asking for identity card, etc I believe.

I don't think you can just jump into it, you have be trusted first of all so that people know that you won't charge back your payment through PayPal and if you were to buy from WU constantly, you wouldn't be making much or barely any profit. You can always give it a try though. Start small, build a customer base and grow. All the big merchants you see in the GP market all started where you are at.

 

Alright, thanks for the info! I wasn't really planning on doing it yet, like you said, build up some trust first A quick little question, would making a WU account be worth my while if I plan to stay active on the RS markets?

 

Some require you pay through WU if you were to buy a large amount of GP or if you were to buy an account. It really varies with the seller/buyer but it doesn't happen much. People usually sell it for RSGP which they then sell to a trusted merchant.

I personally would do it but haven't really had the startup money to do so. This has been something on my mind ever since I found out about gold buying.

 

Yup I did exactly that a couple months ago. I never even played rs before, just made an account to buy and sell gold.
