Regarding vouches.

People should not be allowed to put vouches in their signature if the vouch was not specifcally made out to them.

Seeing as these can easily be forged and could possible be used as a tool to scam newcomers in thinking the other person is "trusted". This would not be a significant added amount of work for the moderators, and would help cut down scamming on Sythe.

well if a mod sees the person with a vouch that isn't theirs they take care of the person

 

Its up to the buyer to determine whether or not they can trust the person. Fake vouches are against the rules anyways, so if they are caught they will be banned.

 

Well yes, But that means looking through the persons post and looking through multipule threads to make sure the vouch is legit. If moderators were to do that for everyone's vouches in their signatures they woulden't have any time to... well moderate .

That is moderating? Finding fake vouches is part of the job.

 

Fake vouches is a bannable offence. If they cant prove the vouch is theirs, I ban them.

 

There's no need to suggest something so obvious, if you feel like it's a fake vouch, just report.

Users have to take their time deciding whether or not if the user is trusted enough to go first. If you rush through things you might fall flat in your face and lose valuables. This is why a middleman is a good idea, if you don't feel 100% safe with the person you're going first to, don't go go first to him, either request a middleman or walk away you might be missing out on a deal but you might be also saving a lot of your moneys worth.

 

It's really up to the buyer to determine if the vouch(es) is/are fake or not.

 

First of all, I hate people who put vouches in their signature. I hate people who copy/paste the users image (Like a mod/donator for example) and put it above the vouch(Just like yours.)

But, if the vouch does NOT belong to them, they get banned. If the vouch doesn't have a name in there like "Vouch for Christmascracker sold me a pencil" then just click the little > next to it, and view the thread the vouch was posted on. If not theirs, report, ban, move along.

 

People who use other's vouches always end up banned.
Also, Farcast is now a global mod.
