Prices on a website creation? Ideas? Feedback?

What are the pros and cons of having a website?

While being in IT (networking) I've thought about paying someone to help create a Website.

I have always been a very cautious person when it comes to the Internet. In other words, if i were to buy a website from somebody OR have somebody build one for me... Would it be unsafe on my end? What I mean by unsafe ( Doxing personal information ) or let alone anything that will effect me?

Please leave me some feed back on this sort of topic.

With anything, you can limit that amount of information you give. A dev does not need access to literally everything in order to create a website.
Of course there is always risk with scams, or with devs not being able to present the work you expect, but in reality that just falls on you to pick the right person for the job by asking the right questions up front.

With most of my current clients that I build websites for I handle most of the dev related items, such as server hosting and management so I don't need access to client accounts that may contain personal information. Matter of fact in most of these instances I encourage my clients to keep their personal information secret, there is no need for this information.


That being said, I do not have any written contracts with my clients. They all just trust me to get the job done, and as time has passed they know that I'm there for them 100%.

I'd be happy to go over everything there is to know about website building, hosting, and freelance work. I love sharing my knowledge and expanding my own knowledge.

If you're familiar with crypto, you could stay anonymous while buying a domain name/web host/instances.

A dev doesn't need to know anything about you except your business requirements and technologies proposed, if you're willing to work with a dev and stay anonymous without giving any credentials, then the above is your solution, even the generated SSH key, be careful when you generate it in case you want to use it, as it generates your PC/local machine name at the end.
