Preview your Custom UT

Hello! Today I am proposing a new suggestion for the UC. My idea is to let people preview what their UT will look like before they request it to be approved. This is already done with the custom donor rank and admins have access to this ability too, see here. Below are the reasons why this would be helpful.

1. Gives people the ability to see what it will look like before they send in which lets them know if its the right color they want, a good style, etc.
2. Saves admin time by not having to deny things that aren't looking right since people will know what it looks like ahead of time. See above post for when @Dave said the UT came out weird for an example.

This is already a feature for admins and I don't think it'll be that hard to make it for regular members too. Also just to clarify, you'll still need to get approval, but this just makes it so you can see what your gonna get.

Let me know what you think and feel free to add any other reasons you may think its good/bad

Yea but this is on sythe and not everyone knows there's stuff like this out there. Atleast that's what I think, could be wrong though.

I have a feeling it hasn't been added because it's not necessary and likely a security risk.

 

Security risk? And of course it's not necessary, people have been managing since it first came out, but it's definetly helpful.

There might be a way to add an HTML on Sythe which would send information to a page completely separated from Sythe and its servers, but that wouldn't provide any change in the User Center for what users currently do. I think it's a lot more work than what it's worth and if you feel the need to use HTML generators to create a fancy user title, then you should probably spend some time to learn HTML and CSS. If users take the time to educate themselves, this would inevitably become less of an issue. Negligence or a lack of knowledge isn't a good excuse for having a real-time HTML editor added to the website.

 

Ok I guess there may be some security risks, although those can be eliminated I'm pretty sure. And it still has to be accepted, so if I understand correctly, that eliminates the risk of the second link.

The thing is, people don't want to learn HTML and CSS just to do their UT lol. I agree that it would become less of an issue, but your basically asking us learn a coding language to do a short user title on sythe. That's much more of a hassle then what it would take to make it on sythe in general. To be honest, it shouldn't be that hard since they already have the option for admins.

Uh what? You can't even put images in a user title??

 

Support, seems like an easy addition and would definitely be handy if you want to preview your custom UT quickly.
