Present Time

Do you think that present time can exist due to "time" being infinite? There are no durations that exist in present time, making it a very perplex philosophy for me to grasp.

Post your thoughts and try not to contradict your own ideas.

 

Well many famous psychologist's believe that the present isn't as much as a form of "time" but as simply a moment between your past and your future aspirations leaving this as a standstill moment between the two.

But is relation to time, well if we keep time as a material item than can be recognized, then it's probably better to look at it all at the same time. Instead of looking at the past,present,and future as 3 different sections of time it would probably help you understand it better if you look at it as all 3 happening at the same time. Every moment in time being the future,the present, and the past.

But then again, time really doesn't 'exist' in a sense. It's just our way for perceiving passing moments, it's kind of like math. Math doesn't exist at all it's a completely made up process lying on the basic fundamental rule of 0=0, while math makes sense because we make it make sense, otherwise it's as real as a child's made up language. Returning to time, if we go to basics then logic would dictate that what we call the past doesn't exist anymore and what we call the future doesn't exist yet, thus leaving the present as the reality and phase which were left with.

 

time doesn't make sense, its a shitty definition but we use it for measuring lengths of seconds/minutes/hours/days/years/decades/centuries/ etc etc etc

but time had to start somewere, didnt it ?

 

Who made " time?" how do we knwo that 10 seconds are 10 seconds...?
