No, not really. That is already taken care of by instincts and hormones. Actually, I believe it may be the exact opposite. Without porn men most likely would be more motivated to have sex with more women just to have sex.

Also, in general I don't really see how pornography degrades women. In most pornography they have sex, often times with a woman acting submissive. Which isn't too far from actual sex. And, in any hardcore scenes it's probably targeted to men who fantasize about dominance, or to women who fantasize about submissiveness or even sadomasochism.

 

I don't understand how porn could NOT be a fantasy to anyone. Women are not sex toys, nor are men. So, I view all porn as fantasy because all porn is about just that, them being a sex toy. Unless you truly believe they are sex toys, I don't understand how you aren't viewing it as a fantasy. If you aren't, perhaps you're one of those ignorant people I'm speaking of?

 

It can make a women seem like a sex object, but some pornography can teach you some techniques to spicen up your sex life, it all depends on the type you watch some is plan disgusting.

Sex is part of porn, and sex is not fantasy.

BDSM is a fetish and part of porn, it remains a fantasy a fantasy for some and therefore I will admit some segments of porn are there for fantasy. However despite this being fantasy it also has a section of reality to it as people do indulge in such activities for the purpose of sexual arousal. However I NEVER disputed the fact that ALL PORN is real, I merely stated that most of it is.

I've already explained how I think of it. Despite what goes on in porn NOT being a fantasy, the fact that they are a sex toy IS. You don't need to agree, and personally I could care less if you do or not. The OP asked what I thought, so I gave my opinion. First off, nobody is forced to watch porn, its a choices. I think that the majority of people use porn for fulfilling a desire and a fantasy.
I'm pretty sure most people that watch so much porn that they become desensitized don't get laid very often so this is kind of a moot point. Nobody wants to have sex with people that treat them like shit.

 

In the porn itself, Yes, I look at the woman as an object.

I am in controll of my own actions, I treat people how I do and I understand that every human being is a complex thing with feelings and thoughts, not an object that I look at as a means to get off.

i love porn, and can easily enjoy the arousing screaming and whiny sounds from the physical enjoyment and can pretty much say.. porn is not a problem, it must be the people that watch it, who enjoy it. no problems

 

I watched porn when I was 13-17 and once in a while I'll watch something with my girlfriend if she wants. There is plenty of websites that are dedicated to amateur porn which is basically a couple releasing their private sex tapes. Its arousing to men because we are biologically hardwired to get aroused when we see others having sex or see a good looking naked woman.

In a sense porn doesn't objectify women, our own biology objectifies them. The only real thing bad about porn is you can chaff your dick if you wack off to much.

 

These days everything labels women as sex objects, pornography is far from being the worst culprit.

Everything is always telling women to wear less and to look sexy, cleavage revealing tops, short skirts showing off shaven legs, make up to emphasise perfection.

The only thing pornography does negatively is portray women's activity in the bedroom unrealistically. Men who watch a lot of porn who are virgins tend to get the impression women will be like how they are in porno's, displaying major confidence, flexibility, desire to be adventurous, and to do more degrading things such as getting their faces pounded, deep throatage, facials and so on.

Im not saying these things don't occur of course they do, but they lead men to believe this is regular and common practise for all women to perform such acts as seen in pornography, which is vastly not the case for most average sex.

It does not portray women as sex objects, but it does mislead men of what to expect.

I am 14 years old. But I will still give my opinion on this.

Many kids my age have or will watch porn eventually. Many people I know watch it very very regularly. In a young teen envirnment it has a major effect. I feel that maybe porn is effecting our judgment of a girl we want to hang out with more than them being a sex object. For example, some young teens may be targetting girls to hang out with that have better features than others. I personally do sometimes do this. We all are culprits of this. Instead of arguing about whether or not porn is bad, we should argue about if it affects the person as a whole or just the person's judgement of women, or neither. It's not a secret that underaged kids are watching porn. The thing I am worried about is if all of society will be based on physical fetures in say 20-30 years. They say the children are the future. If the children are looking at women a certain way, the future will be based around it. There isn't an affective way to solve this problem due to the easy effort it takes for a kid to get access to porn. Clicking an "I am over 18" button does not require you to actually be over the age specified.
