Pop: A Misunderstood Genre?

So it seems when I say "I like pop" Everyone thinks of me as gay, or feminine. When most people think of Pop they think of Britney Spears. Although that's not what all Pop is like, so does anyone else listen to Pop? And what do you listen to?
