Demacia Scammed Me!!

Terms were 300M -> 0.25/M for $75USD.

We met through PM on here; added his account on skype and we talked for about 30 minutes before making the trade.

I've never done this before, so I asked him to drop-trade. I told him in skype to meet me in a specific area and drop the gold to prevent anyone from taking it.

He then tells me he already dropped and logged out. I have not seen his "mule" account log in nor drop anything. I then ask where and he provides a rough location - I have no idea exactly where it is. Immediately after, another account logs in and walks in the general area of the drop and takes the gold, then immediately logs out.

No way that's a coincidence; had I logged in and picked up a 300m stack, I'd be freaking out in the game.

Conclusion: coordination and scammed me.

Fuck this guy; he is now telling me how it's my fault for requesting a drop trade and that nobody does this; yet, I didn't even meet with him in the game. No, this is not my fault. The guy just randomly drops gold in an open area and then tells me where to find it. Again, I expressed my first time even doing this and he didn't bat an eye.

Avoid. This was risky as fuck and I'm likely out $75USD as paypal doesn't recognize virtual items.

Drop trading I never smart, because most of the times you can't proof if the person actually picked it up or if it was a random guy who happend to be there at that spot. If you want to make up a serious scam report do this here:

The fact he dropped and immediately logged out without meeting me is questionable behavior. For another account to log in and "stand around" the dropped area is a serious red flag.

I should have clued in that it may have been dropped by the area the account was hovering around, but I had nothing to believe that he would scam me.

I am the client and I asked to meet in a safe area away from random traffic. He ignored my request; he didn't meet in game; he dropped without me even being around and he didn't coordinate with meexactly where he dropped. Everything about his behavior coupled with me not actually getting the money is a signal that he scammed.

I do believe he dropped something - I do not know exactly how muich. I do believe he had intentions to conduct a legitimate trade UNTIL I requested drop trade mechanic/platform. I also believe this presented an opportunity for him to scam and he indulged in it.

This is bullshit; cost me $75USD or $106CAD. I'm not made of money and I just talked to him about getting scammed by an $86USD / $120CAD order from runescape4u.com. He took advantage of my novice understanding of RWT and he exploited the vouchers he has already had.

The guy is a scammer, period.

On that note, PIEGP / piegp.com sold me 300m at $0.27/m without scamming. I was able to get my $300m however it cost me $350CAD when considering all the losses due to scaming.

I'm not happy. The only silver linning is piegp actually gave a shit and helped me out with advice on how to conduct the reporting process. How can two sellers with totally different business ethics both have >1000 vouches?

Just goes to show you cannot trust everyone. I for one will only buy from piegp going forward, and I'd advise anyone to do the same.
