Police Brutality

Cringe is so real within this one, glad someone with this level of IQ is banned.

Anyway, I'm not too updated on the topic but I remember watching that video where that 'big' dark fella got taken down to the ground then put into a choke hold, he was saying he couldn't breathe and the cops kept him in it. I watched it a while ago so not 100% sure of the story, but I remember they were well out of line to do that.

But even where I live on the otherside of the planet.. I wouldn't as go as far to say it's common to see "police brutality" but they seriously act above everyone and treat everyone like we are 'beneath' them and it really does tick me off when I see this... 99% sure they give themselves the bad name lmao.. atleast where I am anyway, can't speak for you guys but yeah. Just my 2 cents worth.

 

Police brutality is live and well. These chubby, ugly, white cops cant get enough of the darkies it seems. Have you seen the laquan video? Holy fuck, shot the kid 12 times.. Rofl "I feared for my life" as they would say it hahaha

The people that defend the cop in situations like that are idiots.

 

Actually, police forces are made up of people of all races, and their victims are people of all races, so it has nothing to do with race. Best example of this is in places like Baltimore, where they try to mask police brutality as racism, when the mayor is black, the police chief is black, an equitable portion of the police force is black.

 

Yeah tbh it's not always about race. Most of the time its just that the cop is a fucking douche bag.

i think the community has a lot to do with it also, if yo uget pulled over and harrass the cops, they will get mad and probably take it out on you and someone else.

 

NVM I read that wrong, they are the ones harassing you.

 

If you are getting pulled over, you are the one being harassed by the cops, not doing the harassing.

 

Being pulled over is not being harassed.

I think it should just be a case by case situation. I think an investigation should occur after any death (and I think...in most cases this does happen) and I think it is fair for all police officers to have body cameras.

Again I really think its a case by case situation. I do think some cops are just racist and some aren't. This is really an issue that...well I'm not sure anything would solve. If an officer shows blatant racism probably should be fired. I don't really want to talk more about that though, because I just don't know how it can be. Just from face value, thinking about the situation on a national level, there is really no fair way to solve this.

It probably has been said before but heres my take on it:

I think that we call these acts "acts of police brutality" because 99% of the time, the footage that gets "leaked" does not show the full story
e.g. a 50 minutes intervention where the first 45 minutes, the police is calm and respectful but in the last 5 minutes they have to take more "abusive" action to restrain the person that fails to obey

 

This is true to an extent
