Overwatch Boosting Section

You're going to need an overwatch boosting section, it's going to be large.

I can whip up a minirank or have a community contest, whatever you'd like.

Not sure if anyone on the current team is a big player, let me know if you need a sticky whipped up.

Ranking system is 1-100. 1 Being bronze 5 in league, or even worse honestly. The "wood" or "lime" tier as some call it.

100 is e-sports level, top Challenger.

95% of players will be between 20-80 I believe was said, will have to look.

I would just start out chill and if the market picks up have the same boosting verification methods, ranks, etc as the LoL market.

The other's were shot down due to not enough demand (in that not enough selling/discussion threads have been posted thus far). I'd like Sythe to be more proactive about this, rather than reactive. If it does blow up, we'd be one of the first websites to have a market, which can help promote growth

 

I think we should make a section for sure. It might not thrive at first but this really is one of the largest games out at the moment and is shaping up to look like it's there for the long-haul.

I 100% agree with what you are saying. Also, now that there is a competitive ranking system, the demand will be there once a market section for it becomes available.

Here's the thing. I didn't buy overwatch, it was a gift. I gave it a fair amount of time and tried not to be biased, and I can thourougly say that it's one of the most pathetic excuses for a AAA release that I've seen in quite some time. Nothing is balanced, the characters with AOE splash outdamage single target DD's who require aiming, the maps are extremely linear and fairly difficult to defend if there are any competent members on the attacking team, not to mention the lack of penalty for stacking the same broken meta team/character every game. No party limitations to prevent solo players from getting annihilated, ranking, again based only on team play and absolutely zero on personal performance.

It's complete shit, and a waste of the space on my drive, but the typical "gamer" anymore is a fucking moron, and kids already have hundreds of hours in this repetitive nonsense. There is no strategic value, the "skill" brackets just reward time spent playing the garbage, and the playerbase is full of CoD players.

I have no idea how such a large company can rip off Tf2 and make it worse, but they've done it. The graphics are clean and there isn't usually too much going on, but other than that don't waste your time.

tl;dr the game is fucking bad but so are most gamers anymore so it'll still get tons of attention and attract a large market of retards with $$$ to spend in stead of their social lives.

 

My first reaction was to give it some time and see if anyone actually wanted boosting. I mean, we don't even know what the rewards are yet aside from an ugly recolour. I think we should create it in order to generate interest. Supporting for sure.

 

My train of thought is that if it works, it could insanely increase the Sythe userbase, web traffic and market.

If it doesn't, we have a shitty section for a little while.

The rewards are bad, but so are they in any other game, and people pay thousands to have different numbers and colours next to their name in League.
