Seems that Yamashi decided to quit the pokemon go community because he didnt agree with how donation money was going to be used and for this reason he didnt trust them. Yamashi here (the guy who actually coded necroBot) • /r/pokemongobotting

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing and what not. Worked great 1st day but started experiencing a lot of errors. Using Necro atm but this post is what brought these things to my attention.

Appreciated, especially compiling and troubleshooting.

 

Only using the compiled source atm.

This contains: Latest release 0.5.0 of Necrobot + auth.json and the 8787 config.json file(made by 8787).
This config is setup to maximize xp/hour by only catching common pokemon and ignoring everything else.
MEGA
Setup:
Extract Release folder
Go to Release/Config/ and open the Auth.json with either notepad, notepad++ or Microsoft Visual Studio
It'll look like this;

Auth Type: change to either "google" or "ptc"
and then fill in either your google or ptc details.
You'll end up with something like this;

Save & then you're ready to start the bot(necrobot.exe)

Please note that this bot does not have its own UI to configure it, all configuration is done in the config.json file. Upon opening Necrobot.exe, the bot will automaticly start.

Seems I missed a lot. I'm still using this one because I like the pokemon interface. I like being able to manipulate the pokemon easily.

 

This one is great and the GUI is definitely S+ tier. Sadly I kept experiencing the errors mentioned earlier for the last 2 days which put me off

No idea what's causing it right now but I definitely do miss the Pokemon GUI of this while using Necro.

 

I'd be tempted to see if I can recreate the interface for necro, the only thing is I'm concerned I'll go through all that trouble and then it will stop working after another pokemon go update as there's nobody working on it now if I understand correctly?

 

Someone already made a GUI for Necrobot 0.4.0, trying to find the github for it, lets hope he already updated it for it to work with 0.5..0

EDIT: I guess it locked me out for 15mins from having a typo since it tried to spam log me in.

 

Anyone been running this for 24 hours+ with no breaks?

Suppose it would have been difficult until the last version. Just trying to work out how safe it is/what kind of anti-cheating measures they have in place. Wonder if its worth taking a 4-6 hour break or so.

 

Mines on 7 hours as of now. But I stop it every now and then to log in using the SythePoke emulator and do some mass evolutions with a lucky egg.

As for how safe it is, we won't know until they decide to unleash the first banwave. I'd say its certainly safer than other bots as this one doesn't use "sniping" to catch pokemon.

 

everytime i hit 'refresh' it seems to show a paragraph of red text and sometimes even crash the bot. anyone else having this problem?

 

Can confirm I have this issue as well.

 

Both on 1.7.3.0? I haven'd had this problem yet.
