PokeMMO section

I'm not referring to in game. I'm referring to on sythe.

 

I play this game, and there is less than 50k overall players. That's not really that big. I'd like to see an area for it, it's more of a smaller one like ROTMG though

 

On the player base concern, there is no way to tell the exact amount from what I have seen, But, there are over 13,000 members active on their forum on the official website and the website has received over 700k donations. Seems to me there is quite the playbase here lol.

I wasn't only thinking about current members on Sythe though, but another way to bring new members in. If all these people that already play this game start searching for forums to trade on, why not let us be one of them.

But I also agree with waiting to see how many people here are wanting to play. So, let's just hope =D

 

I'm struggling to make it work on Mac. Can someone help me?
Sorry, this is kind of off topic. But I'll try it out (if I can get it working), and if I like it I'll support this idea

OT: I really think this would be a good thing for sythe, pokemon never gets old, and being able to play pokemon on the computer makes it just that much cooler, i'm going to download this and start playing. I think it would be a cool thing to have its own section/discussion/market

EDIT: I'm a bit confused as to how to start playing. I'm not sure what it means by obtaining the ROMs*

 

Sorry for the off topic here, but want to get this out here for everyone having trouble.

Go to the site to get the client, you are going to get a zip folder with a bunch of files...
Make a new folder on your desktop (Name it whatever you want) and extract everything from the download into that folder.

Now go here: http://coolrom.com/roms/gba/14488/Pokemon_FireRed.php
And download the rom.

Cut/Paste that ROM in the folder named ROM that was included in your downloads that you just extracted.

Start the PokeMMO client. Done

E: went ahead and updated the OP with all the above info.
E2: Also like already mentioned, we have a damn Realm of the Mad God section, I can almost guarantee this would be more popular than that -.-

 

If anyone has a mac, there is a guide, and you have to download the ROM. It's pretty simple to set up if you read it properly.

 

I support this! This would be huge for Sythe.

 

You need to make a poll dean, how many people on sythe are currently playing it.

 

N4no, please put a poll on this for me, set it for whatever you need to know in order to help make this happen

This isn't the first pokemon MMO, and it probably won't be the last. These things have a history of being shut down by nintendo, so don't expect to play it long.
