anyone else look at their playtime and question what the fuck I'm doing with my time. I started playing again in early 2019 and made a new account then. Since then I have spent almost half a year playing the account. anyone else feel extremely guilty for the time they've wasted knowing they couldve done something more productive?

Post 2018 I'd probably regret the extensive time I spent gaming. Gotta spend most of my time doing adult shit today, so the simple but hard solution would be to cut down on my gaming time.

Gaming when I was a kid tho? Hell nah. I understood markets because of RuneScape.

Recently I’ve had a lot more time on my hands so never had any problems with feelings of guilt. Unless of course I’m supposed to be doing some thing else ‘productive’ and I’m on RS instead.

Normally I would relate to what you’re saying.

however, We are living in a world at the moment where we are being told to stay at home (at least in the UK). So even if you weren’t playing RS, there isn’t much else you could be doing (I’m guessing)

yea...i started playing again just because of covid/winter. Haven't touched the game in years unless to stake. Just been pking now, but excessively - literally all day lol. It's too consuming, so ill be quitting again come april.
Now that i'm in my mid twenties I can't imagine wasting life on this game lol

I don't find gaming to be as fulfilling anymore now that I have discovered other purposes that I have. As I result I have decided not to play anything anymore, but I really like to run services and I want to expand that into more games.

Yep know the feeling too well. For me it's either no gaming or excessive amount of gaming. I always come back every few years and spend a month playing. Then I feel guilty about playing 4-5 hours a day and quit for couple years. Now I'm in college and simply don't have that time, but I get where you are coming from.

I actually did experience this heavily.

I quit the game because it took over my life. I no longer play OSRS because I would choose the game over anything (going out, working out, etc.) and would cancel plans to play. I then got in to post-max exp which made the situation worse.

If you are feeling like this and it gets to be too much, you can always take a break or quit permanently. Realign yourself with what is really important because at the end of the day, it is a game and it won't be there forever, but your life will move on once it's gone. Put yourself before a game.

If you enjoyed it, it wasn't a waste of time.
