I am trying to find a way to play RS at school, the real Rs, not a private server. I have been trying for a long time and nothing has seemed to work. The network we have at my school has Smart Filter, if that helps at all. I try using a proxy, www.zfilez.org, which is one of the few unblocked proxies at my school, but it doesnt work(try it, you'll see what I mean). Ive messed with settings and all of that, and the only possible thing I can think of is running it with SUN Java, because when I run it with that on the proxy i just get the red X, so I'm currently burning the java installer to a disk to bring to school and try. Any ideas?

Well you have the basic idea. The thing about filters is that they block websites, not installed applications. So IF you can somehow get it installed onto your server, then it might work. But most proxies will not work considering you just get the red X all the time.

I used to use JMACRO as a world switcher when it was still updated. It worked at my school, most likely since the client was built in. I will try and rip out the auto parts of it to make it just a world switcher. Give me a few days and I might have failed, or I might have done it. :/

I do have a social life, and my buddies and i like to sit in programming class and play counter strike and stuff but we would really like to play rs, and we have lots of free time in that class

ReclaimMyPlace, don't revive topics just to say something meaningless. (:

A web based proxy won't work for runescape. Get firefox portable, and install the torbutton extension. Get a list of proxies from http://www.proxy.org and use that. As far as I know, it should work.

Well, you're probably not supposed to be playing games at school, so does it really matter? If you really want play and roam the RuneScape world at school, I'll tell you how!

I suggest you bring a USB cord, with firefox installed, and open it in school. Download tor, and set the proxy.

Wouldnt Socks4/5 work?
