It hasn't been officially recognised as a terrorist attack yet but it's pretty clear what's happened and who's likely to blame (UK govt. are treating it as a terrorist attack for now). People are being treated for shrapnel injuries (which generally come from a nail bomb).

What's more horrible about this is the concert it was done at is mainly young people / children, so the majority of people killed are most likely going to be children...

 

I don't want to speak ahead of myself before a suspect is pointed out, but until then it's just sad that someone would stoop this low, it's beyond wicked. No compassion for humans to do these kind of things. It's unfortunate, but this is the world we live in today.

 

Terrible to have happened at an Ariana Grande concert. Used to be obsessed with her in high school. Fuck terrorists.

 

Death toll risen to 22, police also confirmed children are among the dead.

 

Saw this last night as i was going to bed, unbelievable that they would target children, total sick fucks smh.

 

This is terrible, wouldn't be surprised if terrorist attacks became more and more frequent over the next coming years, the world is fucked.

The world is a fucked up place. This happened close to my house and I am deeply sorry for the families who have lost family members in this atrocity. Whoever can actually go through with something like this honestly deserve to just get a lot of fucked up shit done to them. Disgusting.

 

UK terror threat level is now at critical (highest level). Basically means an attack is imminent (and generally could mean the government know something we don't and that there may be be more to come)

There's been a few incidents today however they were stopped prematurely by police.

There was an incident in Swansea (South Wales) but this was confirmed a hoax. I don't recall any other incidents today other than a load of arrests.

What bothers me about this is the guy lived with his family, how on earth do you plan a terrorist attack + arranging for a bomb to be made / delivered to you without other people in the house knowing what's going on? I'm not saying his family were in on it but they must have had some idea what was going on.

The military have currently been deployed across key sites in the UK, this will free up a lot more armed police so they can focus on being in the cities / large crowded events.

Knew 1 or 2 people who went to the concert and were really shook up about it. My thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones.
