PlayerAuction: Account suspended (as a Buyer)

I found this site while googling why my account was suspended.

I am not a seller, but a buyer. I have over 20 successful transactions as a buyer, and I always confirmed delivery immediately after receiving the gold/item.

I made 2 separate transactions this morning, as usual. Nothing different. After I paid via PP for the second order, within a minute, my account was suspended and the 2nd order was immediately cancelled, and I received the following email.

This email is to inform you that your account has been identified for violation of PlayerAuctions policy for the first time. For any pending orders, PlayerAuctions will process the necessary refunds within 3 working days.

To reactivate your account, please acknowledge your understanding and acceptance of our policy by replying this email.

Please be advised that future violations of our policy can result in a permanent ban from PlayerAuctions.

Why would this proc on my account, when I have not had any issues previously? Anyone know?

 

Have you paid by card which cardholder's name was different than registration name on Playerauctions? That may be the reason of your account being suspended

 

Nope, I always use my own personal cc or instant transfer. I will only pay via paypal. All of my payments and transactions are via PP.

Although, the debit card that I put on file with them was recently changed, but again, I don't use that payment option when I complete the order.

Edit: Oh wait, my paypal has my legal name, and the PA account is under my "American" name, but it's always been that way since I started using the account.

 

I think the best way to solve this issue is contact their livechat for instructions then e-mail them what they ask for at [email protected]

I already contacted their live support, and they just told me to email them. And I would have to wait 24-48 hours. I am more concerned with the 90 dollars I spent, and order that they confirmed first, before I was suspended.

I just don't understand what violation I made to do this, when all I did was make a purchase as usual. And I can't find anything on their website to tell me what would violate the policy.

 

It says on the email you will get a refund within 3 days, just reply to their email like it says and ask them what exactly went wrong.

As per checking your account got suspended due to an attempt to do an offsite trading with our seller. As a warning your account will be suspended for 72 hours. Please be informed that if you ever attempted to do an offsite trading with our sellers again may cause permanent suspension on your account.

Ok, I never tried to do any offsite trading, or any attempt at offsite trading. Got any ideas why they would say this, when 100% I did not do this? Has anyone had any issues trying to get lifted suspensions?

 

I guess they're being paranoid. When it comes to offsite trading, PA is extremely paranoid and completely ridiculous.

As I stopped using them ages ago, I'm afraid I can't offer anything other than that bit of insight, sorry about that.

 

Ask their Live Chat, might take a little bit for a response but they will help you through it and explain why etc.

 

Did you exchange contact information, such as Skype / MSN / Live Chat address with the seller?

 

my account got suspended this morning as well after making a purchase for $164..30 secs after receiving my receipt i got suspended like wtf...Anyone know of any better sites with security as well?
