How come they dropped 30-40 cents since 2 months ago? What happened

The price wasn't 30-40 cents higher 2 months ago

 

People sold it for 1 usd, now people sell it for 0.7 and sometimes late 60s?

 

1$ if you bought it from overpriced source sure but it was around 0.8 really

 

it was averaging like $0.8 in december iirc

 

to much inflation, gold on runescape always just drops and drops over time, 3 years from now osrs gold will sell for 40 cents a m i promise, maybe even cheaper.

 

Yeah even though osrs has done alright with inflation (dueling tax) 100m now simply isn't the same as 100m in 2015

It's just indeed how the economy works. Long term i think price of gp will rise since there will be more money sinks introduced like tax in duel arena.

 

Over time players gain levels, and obtain expensive items more often.

With more NEW players, comes higher gold prices.
As players become MORE EXPERIENCED, they can make tons of gold.
If players GAMBLE, they may turn their gold pile into billions.

When you have less new players, and more experienced players, gold becomes less valuable & alot of the market will be
controlled by those who gamble.

That's why when OSRS went to mobile, and we saw 150,000 people online, and the huge longer lasting spike, gold rose.

Now it's cooled down, gold dropped back down.

 

Mod Acorn was on vacation for like 2 weeks in februari, thats one reason why things started plumeting.

 

Lol a lot of people got banned in that period. Its not manual ban, most of it is automated.

 

If you abused that period you would've gotten my point

 

The bigger sites may have sold it for 1 usd, except the bigger places like bogla still sell it for $.83/m atm. So like a 20 cent drop.
