Planning for '07 server

I was thinking of doing something similar. I might make a main and focus on 85 smithing + beyond, meanwhile have a bot army mining the ores to supply my main's smithing levels. First to be selling rune items will make bank.

I think I'll be focusing on slayer and maybe hunter on my main account as slayer will both make me money and allow me to level up my combat. Use the bot army for those other skills for supplies/money.

No but powerbot had bots up for the EoC in under a week didn't they? This should be no problem for them at all and I'd expect a full array of scripts within 2-3 weeks maybe a month tops.

eoc wasn't a big change pretty much had to change life percentiles and that was it. most bots still dont have use of abillities.

and to those who think smithing will be good. 07 has a ton of rune dropping monsters and rs2 is extremely easy to level up 2-3 days = flat 80s+ depending on if you know where to train and how good you are at staying on task. there is some profit to be made but in all honesty not really worth it in the long run. especially with simba n what not as you can make a decent starting script within a hour then always modify it while your botting.

Goodluck with that, there will be no rune equipment or whips for at least 4+ weeks.

My goal is to skill and then sell the items for loads of gp.

lol and what makes you think that? there are tons of monsters that drop rune and im not sure if its been decided but what if we get our stats? many will be 99 smithing and slayer already. and if not you really think it takes 4 weeks to get 85 smithing\slayer ? lol both are easily achieved in a week.

I for one will be creating several scripts via simba to do the following:

combat training several bots at chaos druids for potions + herbs will be worth a lot

fishing\cooking on a couple bots to supply my characters.

after a few accounts are flat 60-70ish set them up at the fight pits to collect tokkul and what not.

and last but not least probably create a dragon killing script then just rake in the profits and sell out before the servers die\prices drop.

^ You have to remember that people will have to train with crap armour at the start. Its not like everyone is going to be training with pots and max gear.

For the people looking to bot 3-4+ accounts, are you actually planning on buying all those memberships? At this rate, there is no way we will reach 750k, and we probably won't hit 500k either. So, membership will probably be $13/account.

Not going to have a plan or goals because when I do I feel pressured to complete the goal even at the cost of having fun.

I'm just going to log on and do whatever comes to mind first. I'm not in a rush to get the first whip or the first 99.

It's a shame that these servers will overflow with gold farmers and bots quickly, I doubt there will be a lot of servers to choose from so every training spot will be full of bots.

Thats just my ultimate goal.

Looks like every skill will be worthy tbh. You need wc/fletch for range, smith for armour/weps.

Im gonna start by hitting the deserts shops. Scimmy/platelegs style, then prob head to fally.

Shops are gonna be the main place tbh.

I can gurantee if i head to desert; stock up on scimmys, i can make profit selling them to newbs :d

Seems like botters win, something that will always be ruining Runescape IMO. You'd rarely find actual players botting prior to 2007; most were Chinese gold farming companies.

Basically, the community, atmosphere and everything else will be completely different. I wish bots were removed. Would make the game have a slight resemblance to as it once was.

Yeah, unfortunately it seems this is as close as were getting :/

you can buy everything up to addy [rune and some dragon if you do quests] and its all relatively cheap even first starting out as long as you're experienced with the mechanics of the game already. and the only reason why rune smithing was profitable was for 2handers etc. in classic. in rs2 the key rune weapon is a rune scimitar which last I knew [could have changed it] could be bought in the champs guild [ I think thats the one its been a while lol] and the only thing that cant be bought [ other than a rune kite but id think you would get a defender.] the rune large is dropped by greater demons which a flat lvl 30-40 can kill pretty easily.

like I said there will be a little profit to be made with getting your smithing up but lets face it, this isn't like rsc where you can make huge bank making r2h's the good stuff is simply too easy to obtain.

when needed yes

we are at 18% with about 3-5 hours from completing day 2 of 14, at this rate we are ahead of schedule not behind. and if you take in account the drop off of added votes even using a large differential we are still on schedule to recieve all 750k votes.

No way. I hope you understand that the rate of votes will just get lower and lower from here on out. We got what, 50k votes today? Tomorrow it will probably be half that, and so on. Most of the people that wanted to vote, have voted. 750k is nearly impossible unless thousands of people decide to suddenly buy membership and vote.

Edit: sorry, 50k is an overestimate. I think it was closer to 35k. Let's say we maintain 35k/day for the next 12 days. 12*35000=420,000. Add that to our existing amount and we still don't have 750k.

i reckon it would be smarter to just kill mobs for rune drops

i'll go quest. Doing the grand tree and tree gnome village gives you 30K attack xp for free, and unlocks monkey madness

first day we got around 12% second day we get 10%ish keep in mind a huge portion of people don't even play over the weekend\vacations\word of mouth to players who quit. it will stay at around 10% a day for the next 2 more days I would guess then start dropping. It could go either way but I really don't see it not getting the 750k votes and I'm not even pro 07[ voted for it for the people that are though on all my bots etc.]

you under-estimated not over... lol you might want to learn how to use percentiles in your math :D

edit: we will just have to wait and see how this pans out.

We are in day 3 with 19%. I don't know how you are getting 22%. I am sorry, but I can't argue with you. This is just simple math; I don't really know how you are getting it wrong.

Also, most people play on the weekend. That is why there are always more people online during the weekend.

today is day 3, and it was at 22% at approx 7 this morning when I checked it. if it is different I'd assume its been changed by jagex use google to check for yourself idk if they still do but they use to have a wayback machine or something like that, that kept logs on sites. and even if you were right which when you check you will see you're not. your math is still wrong mr simple math. I'd work on your percentiles before you go judging others.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? It is only at 20% now, and day 3 just ended. Let me put this in percentiles, since you love them so much, even though you suck at them. 20% in 3 days= a little below 7% per day. Let's say we magically keep getting votes at this same rate, even though we won't. 7%*14=98%. Even at this rate, we would not reach the goal. In reality, we will be lucky if we even get another 20% in the next 11 days.

I am sorry, but you are either really stupid or a really good troll. I am inclined to believe the former.
