They obviously didn't find your sweet spot if it hurt so much.

Lol... Do you know how hard and difficult it would be to put a needle through that cartilage? It wouldn't just go through. This did. Also. I can feel where it is, it's obviously not in my cartilage, I think you'd notice...

EDIT: I know you would... also look around, it's renowned as one of the most painful piercings.

Not very hard considering it's surgical steel. Not going to have a massive debate about it, but there is a spot where is doesn't hurt.

I have 4 piercings. The worst pain by far was my nipples, I honestly almost passed out. I was really nervous when I had my tongue pierced but it didn't hurt at all, same with my ear.

I for one know for a fact considering I've done my girlfriends 4 times now, you probably got it done at the front.

That is where it's "supposed" to be done, and where all mainstream piercers will tell you. If you're telling me there is a part in the nose, where you shove a 10 gauge needle through, with NO pain, as you said. That's derpish.

Also, what does it being surgical steel have to do with the getting through, sharpness? Yes it's sharp, but being surgical steel means nothing.

EDIT: And to repierce 4 times through "your girlfriends" septum, saying it doesn't hurt. That's stupid? Repiercing scar tissue? four times? No pain? Psych.

10G? What are you fuckin stretching your septum? Of course you feel it but it's not like you explained it to be worst pain you ever had lol, either you have low piercing tolerance or they did it in a stupid place. Simple.

Or you wouldn't know, unless you HAVE it done yourself. Everywhere I've seen, on youtube, on forums, they say it's one of the most painful, find conclusive evidence to dispute that, or gtfo my thread. Simple. And perhaps I do have a low pain tolerance. I also have a low ignorance tolerance.

I love how you get so defensive over nothing, we all make mistakes and in this case you went to a dodgy piercer and you had a teary about how much it hurt. I love majority of what you said specially that last part, there is no need to be rude but, it's okay I'm not judging you; no one is here.

Well, if they were a decent piercer they wouldn't of used a 10g needle as that is as thick as a tongue bar, unless you asked for it or where planning on stretching. Now for them to go ahead and use that without asking says it all mate.

I picked which one I wanted. I'm not new to piercings or body mod. I think I know the difference between gauge sizes.

EDIT: Considering normal is 12-14. A 10 isn't a big difference. By the way, tongues are generally done at 14 too brah.

Failed to mention that you "picked" a 10G needle didn't you? But honestly I don't see why you would, if you're just putting a normal septum bar in, unless it was a macho-man choice, which is why you are claiming it hurt so much. If you knew the difference why the bigger size?

Edit, 14G is what I use because it fits the bar perfectly. There isn't any reason to go bigger unless you wanted a massive fuckin bull ring hangin from your nose or as I said before you were going to stretch it. Tongues are not done with 14 the bar would stretch the hole if it were.

My sister recently got a tattoo/tramp stamp (unfortunately she doesn't realise what it means) and expected it to hurt a lot.

After she got it, apparently it didn't hurt at all or at least not as much as she thought it would.

OT: I've never had a piercing but have thought of getting an eyebrow one.

    Not too sure though.

Most of the cool jewelery is 10-8g that i've seen. Pretty sure if it was a macho man choice, I wouldn't have posted a thread saying I'm a little bitch. Lol. I was looking for something to do while I'm on leave. What do you mean If I knew the difference? I liked the look of the bigger ring, the smaller one looked too....small. I don't understand the point you're failing to make.

I barely waited a week between my stretches and had no problems. I wouldn't really recommend doing that though, the risk of a blowout is unbelievably high. The above advice is the best - waiting 2 weeks between each stretch is totally worth it in the end.

I'd also recommend only stretching ears with TAPERS (pictured below), and definitely not using silicone plugs to stretch them. I've seen too many people screw up their stretch by using silicone. It's not designed to facilitate the healing process and is just generally more hassle than it's worth.
