To be honest, if they get punished for something as pointless and insignificant as that, I feel for them.

I don't think punished is approiate term, but no staff should be or will be editing the results of polls.

I have a bone to pick with you guys, why the hell do you take forever to do anything? I talk to someone on MSN, and it takes them 10 minutes just to peek at my message window. The fastest Mod here is Atomic(yes, I'm calling him his real name now) and he took about 5 minutes to get me my IP list. Now, I'm not complaining, I needed that list, but many other people just take HOURS

Picking on the staff one by one isn't a smart idea, this will only anger you and then it will be one man's word against another's ban powers. So to call you out, I'd like to start with the in general blindness of the users, compared to the sythe staff. I quote shawn_ earlier in this thread when he claims that some of the behind the scenes sythe work is none of our business. Why?

What could possibly be happening on a runescape cheat and black market based site that regular members cannot be informed about, unless back to the common topic of this thread, corruption. If there are secrets behind the scenes, shouldn’t the common member be able to know about it? If this was a mafia site dealing coke, and you kept secrets, I could understand it, but it's runescape, let's all think about it for a second, there shouldn't be any secrets.

And to all those members who claim admins who have low posts don't deserve to have admin powers, I disagree. Quoting dingo (I believe) "your post count isn’t your penis size," members who are new to forums should be taught this, because how would they know?

And lastly, administrators and mods who are "active behind the scenes," how can you prove they are active? I mean sythe is a cult of secrets, where the staff are all powerful and knowledgeable and the common member is left out in the cold. Personally, I believe we deserve to know what they are doing more specifically, then just "working in the IRC."

Your claim that the staff will ban anyone that angers us is unjust. Give me one example of any of our current staff banning someone who you believe did not fully deserve it, and I (or whoever was responsible for that persons ban) will justify it.

Are you upset that you aren't informed as to every detail of what the staff is discussing? Rest assured, there is information that is supposed to remain private, and even stuff that us (globals) can't see. I will not give examples - if there's one thing I'm known for, it's being able to understand the concept of a PRIVATE staff forum. Quite honestly, I feel that all users who go around preaching that Sythe.org staff are corrupt are wrong, perhaps some of our former moderators were a bit corrupt (again, no examples - I don't want to ruin anyone's reputation, regardless of how much I may have disliked them), but as for our current team... I have yet to see any corruption. Half the time people are just upset that they have been banned/demodded/deadmined and as a result start hating Sythe.org.

It is not your job to gauge the staff's activity. Notice how Vic, no matter how much everyone loved him, was deadmined for inactivity, ole was demodded for inactivity, and Ethan was (partly) demodded for inactivity. If you're referring to Filefragg, read his post on the 3rd page.

On another note, we have no reason to "prove" our activity. If you don't see a mod/admin posting, assume that he is doing something more important rather than assuming that he is just inactive.

I believe that laziness is a charactaristic of all people whether they like it or not, as well as procrastination. That, is the reason why there are so many mods to help out.

If you think that the mods are "corrupt" because they didn't infract the guy that just bumped his thread so your thread went to the second page then put him in the Report A Spammer forum. Viny does an amazing job in taking care of that whenever he's on. Pen on the other hand normally takes care of the Report A Scammer forum.

Those may be your two favorite mods because you see them posting so much, I'm not saying it's a bad thing that they do that by any means but I also have to point out that just because other mods do not check those forums (often) does not mean that they are inactive. Everyone has their own area at which they excel and they aren't required to do anything more than that. You may see some staff members say they aren't "required" to do anything. I agree with that to an extent, but if they do not do their job then they will lose their powers.

That hopefully cleared something up, if not then consider this just here to raise my post count.

I strongly disagree with you here. Everything happening on the internet cannot compare with things happening in the real world. If you owe more to this forum than you do to the people that you talk to and interact with in the real world then you honestly shouldn't be here as much as you are.

as far as i really care the staff isn't corrupt

the only thing that truely bothers me is that some people will blame mods for things that isn't there fault and i know you mods and admins don't do this publicaly on threads but i know some of you don't like each other and you argue at points about some stupid things and then it seems 1 of them leaves

another point i mean its not bad id just like to see more of activity i mean when i would go to check who's been reported for banning people and such and such i would always see pen there on the job and hardley noone else

another comment on this is that in dispute people get banned without care no warning and then there banned for no reason why'll someone else does that i normally see atomic doing that (unabanning people i mean not banning them for no reason)

and for mm's officials i think might need training like a training forum soon as they get confirmed that there allowed to offcial mm because i don't know about you but i don't want to see another blue phat stolen or another mm like pyro or somthing so basically is what im saying maybe you could get information on some people and start a training forum started for beging offcial mms

Pen is more active in that forum than anyone else but if you check the Archives you will see everyone elses' name.

Nobody is banned for no reason. Whether or not mistakes are made is for you to decide.

You have to have an accepted middleman application to even be considered as an official middleman. That means you have to do middleman 25 trades, 5 of which over 12M and then be accepted by a staff vote. Still, you can't control people.
