[Pic Tut] 3D Glossy Orb Avatar

Heres the outcome:



You can also mess with the settings of the bevel and emboss to change how the orb looks.

You can also duplicate the orb layer and use a stroke emboss to have an even more 3d stroke effect

And Don't forget to resize it. The Avatar Limit is 80x80. I don't advise letting imageshack do it for you, but whatever.

 

No outcome? I don't know what I'm making with out one.

 

What type of file do I save it as?

 

PNG interased. (right?)

 

Well a lot of things would work really, that shouldn't matter. But png or jpeg are most common.

 

.png is what I use, its VERY small memory usage, despite how big the pictures are. Dosent show transperancy as white, and harldy any color loss.

 

where is the layer style thing on photoshop???? plz tell me i cant find it i've looked at every menu ! P.S i know this is a nooby question so you dont have to tell me. EDIT: do i have to have the full verison cause i found the style thing but it wont let me go on it its blank like uh i dunno how to explain its gray and not black and i cant click on it. if so can some one make me one plz
