Thanks guys! Always awesome to know other people like my work!

Right now my camera/lens setup is Canon 550d and a Sigma 15-35 F3.5, just goes to show you don't need professional kit to get the job done!

My speedlight is a Yongnuo YN565EX TTL , if anyone is looking to get into photography or is looking for a speedlight but doesn't want to fork out for a Canon/Nikon one then get this. I have used both the Yongnuo and the Canon and I see very very little difference.

My biggest inspiration is a photographer called Jean-Michel Berts, the guy is amazing. His black and white photos really blew me away and ever since then I have been hooked on the depth and grittiness of black and white photos. Here is an example of a photo where I have tried to emulate Jean-Michel Berts style:

I know the lines are all over the place but the geometry of the street and building really didn't line up well.

OMG that's actually so beautiful, you should definitely take it to another level,
maybe even as a future career.

I'm trying to find a way to get myself to Japan for a trip. I really want to take my photos to a new level and I think getting out of my local surroundings is what I need!

If any of you checked out my Deviant Art page you might have noticed a little cardboard robot called Danbo. I really like taking photos of him so here a few of them! The last two photos (where he has a pumpkin head) were photos I took for Halloween with a custom head I made for him using polymorph.

I believe you overuse HDR to compensate for lack of technical knowledge of scene setting/lighting. Also you composition needs work. There are a few pretty decent shots but most of them lack dynamics and action.

What I am posting here are photos dating back to when I very first started. It's a thing a lot of new photographers tend to do. In the start I really did overdo the HDR look but I very rarely use it now. Although I do think that HDR can be (and has) been over used it is often needed to be used in situations where a correct exposure cant be made "in camera" without use of a graduated ND filter (which I don't own yet).

I should still have the RAW files for the majority of my photos , just let me know what one and i'll see what I can do =]

Decided to try some steel wool photography , not exactly the best in the world but I thought it was ok for a first attempt.
