Favorite Runescape year?

Let me start this off.


My favorite runescape year was 2006, back when buying an item was a struggle. This made everything a lot more fun and motivated you to get your own raw material.

Not to mention the community was a lot more friendly and mature, regardless of the fact that we were a lot younger.

 

2009-2010~ was my personal favourite. I prefer the graphics over OSRS

 

Day 1 of the graphics update. I was so hyped; no day came close to that for me.

 

My golden year revolved around free trade coming back. Whatever I did shit out gold back then. Pking/Merching and massive gains staking. I loved pking just before chaotics and dung were released. I also enjoyed massive gains during the 07 release. I miss having a connection to runescape. The games been dead to me for years. The updates and removal of gambling really did me in.

 

Moved to RuneScape General.

Probably for me it would be 2008, specifically the middle of the year when RSHD came around. I know it's when free trade and PKing was removed, but it was still when I enjoyed the game the most.

 

Right around when RSHD came out!

 

2006/7 when it wasn't such a race to 99 pre-skillcapes and people just went on to train up a bit and escape.

2010-2011

 

2006-2008. It was not really about the year thought. Games was much better as a kid.

 

2010-2011 the height of dicing was very fun and gave me a reason to play. I saw the most amount of people on during that time and I've seen every era of runescape so far.

 

I mean my first few years I discovered rs were my favorite for nostalgia purposes 2006-2008 but once I learned the game and evolved as a player 2010-2011 were some great years as posters mentioned above dicing days etc. I also was pretty well known in the w42 community during those years SHOUT OUT to my fellow Rp'ers. It was the last time i remember really being in to RS3 after that RS3 went to poop and I pretty much quit it all together but there is hope for me in OSRS .

 

My favorite RS year would have to be 2006 since RS was still a magical place for me since I was so young. All of my IRL friends played so we competed with each other to accomplish stupid stuff first.

 

Has to be 2011, free trade was back, pking was back and all that in HD graphics was omg to the younger me. Same as TTB, all my IRL friends played so we attended drop partys and stuff at the library (lame I know).

 

2012, the last year that competitive warring was still a thing on the main servers & before the majority of the BA/SC community were killed off by EoC. Nothing will be more fun to me than competitive SC games between clans tbh.

Was also the last year I spent a lot of time with one of my oldest RS friends so it holds a lot of good memories for me. Still in touch occasionally but they're doing other things in life.

 

2013 When 07 came out and i made hella $$ because i botted the shit outa Sharks and sold gp for like $3.25/m

 

I'll be the first to say - this year. I really like NXT & look forward to some of the other big updates later this year.
