[PENDING]Let people with a DNT pm Staff

Most if not all mods have Discord, so I don’t see the point of making this to something.

 

If i recall correctly, this was discussed at one point but staff didn't want the burden of having DNT members spam them. I believe if a staff member PMs you directly, you can reply, but only once they initiate the conversation? (Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't had a DNT cuz im a good boy). If you need to get a hold of a staff member, posting a dispute or reaching out through discord should be sufficient.

 

I’m in favor aswell as against it. I thought they were already able to, but I guess it’s only when the staff member initiates the PM. Either way I’m against it for the reasons you provided, as we have the dispute section for that.

 

I think people who are DNT'd should be able to contact staff via PM if desired. If they decide to spam the staff's PM box, then simply issue them a ban for it.

 

I agree with this. Unless a staff member directly pm's you, DNT users should not be able to PM staff at will. I like where your head is at in regards to this topic, but I don't feel this is the right solution.

Maybe the easiest way to do this is to make the act of DNTing someone send a pm saying "hey you've been DNTd for this reason [link to thread] - you have lost access to the market, can't trade, and can reach out to a mod here or in discord"

Either way, I support. Not everyone wants to use discord and this ^ solution shouldn't take too long
