    PC Wont Turn On

    Title. Can't find the cause.

Recently my PC was refusing to turn off, i hit shutdown; but it never did so i turned it off using the switch at the back, and now it wont start back up at all.

This morning I turned it on, (it worked) but i was getting no signal to my monitor, so i turned it off and back on and it hasnt come back on since.

I tested the sockets but they arent the problem, green light is on my motherboard. Tried all loose cables. No buttons on case work (disc eject, power, reset)

What else can i do? Help will be much appreciated :)

Does it try to turn on? Like fans go on and it makes disk sounds or nothing?

Did you flip the switch in the back to on? Have you tried a new power cord? It could be a lot of different things which makes this rather hard.

I would suggest the power supply. Also check the cords that lead from the case to the motherboard and see if they have wiggled loose.

yes, if nothing goes on surely the power supply is not giving power, and so maybe a fuse has gone in the process? what PSU do you have? is it old? also check the cables from psu to motherboard...

I had this problem to find out that my power button broke. I switched the power wire to the CPU reset button on the motherboard and use that button now and it hasn't gave me a problem since.
