Gaming has always interested me. I've played games, lead several communities, played amateuristic-competitively and so on. My first First Person Shooter was probably WarRock which I played both legit and have cheated in. This is where I've gotten into my first clan and played several "wars" - which were literally a blast. Not exactly sure how many hours I've put into this, but I've put quite a bit of money in it. Later on I went on playing Call of Duty 2 (probably 1000+ hours), Call of Duty 4 (most likely 4000+ hours), Modern Warfare 2, CS:GO, PUBG, Overwatch and so on. One thing that kept bothering me in each and every game is my skill. I would've expected by playing for probably over 15 years of games that by now I would've gotten some kind of skill, but I easily get outskilled by new players. Users I've played with are now playing competetively or atleast have grown some kind of skill I have yet to reach. Sure, my gaming gear especially in terms of PC components and keyboards isn't the greatest, but even those who own goldsites here and spent most of their time there still outplay me. Someone once made a 2 hour review of my gamestyle but I barely learned anything.

Would there be anyone on here to either play Apex Legends or Overwatch with me to get to know my gamestyle better and give me advices? In the end I've requested this many times and have yet to receive true help, so please be careful when you reply here. One of the main things that could help me is perhaps getting glasses since I know that my eyes suck, especially my left eye, but I doubt getting glasses will improve that much.

It's just getting really frustrating. I'd love to become better in games, and perhaps when I am I could eventually broaden my interests such as in streaming etc.

*NOTE: This service must be done for free, due to this thread: Closing down shop. I can however vouch for you.

I used to play alot of games, my main game as with you was COD4, MW2. I played those, I played those on gamebattles. My IRL
friend was the top rank where I lived at the time. Through gaming with him online, and other clans, and the hard on gamers, I found
    one thing of importance.

If you want to get better, you have to play with people who smoke you.
You have to keep playing, you have to be able to get better, and be able to beat these guys roasting you.
Once you have the ability to adapt to different game styles you'll find yourself in a less harmful position.

It's just like any other sport, if you stay in the rookie level, you won't get better.
If you start playing with the pros, you'll have no choice.

Apex Legends is a fairly new game, there are tons of tips on youtube that I have watched which show case alot of great knowledge
that you would probably pay somebody for and get it for free.

    Experience is the best teacher.

I'm far past the YouTube guides now, while yes perhaps playing with those who're better than me will help me, I doubt that experience is the most important factor here.

I don't know if this will be of any use for you. But what I've (in general) found to work for battle royales:

Also when it comes to Battle royales I disagree with BUILD. Due to the fact that if you play with pros it's, most of the time, going to end up with you getting carried and not much learned. But this does work in games like League, where you might duel pros head on.

    1. Duel people, don't doubt just duel. Land at hot zones, not in some shack at the corner of the maps.
By doing this you can gain several things, to name some: Confindence in taking duels, ability to handle pressure and also gain skill over time. This is especially true for Apex due to how fast paced it is. You die, no problem, 30 second to start the next game.
Overall this should increase your proficiency in Apex.

It's always more fun to be fighting from the start, than just running for 10-15 minutes and dying to the last teams.

Note: If there is only 3 teams left, you should probably try to ascertain where both teams are before you engage them.

    2. Positioning and usage of available tools.

There are several things to consider here. First being that you should always try to stay in a position advantageous to yourself. Examples would be staying around the circle, higher grounds, around areas that your back is safe during a frontal engagement, flanking enemies and repositioning yourself if you get flanked/rushed while off guard.

With usage of tools i mean, weapons and skills. A simple and very effective setup in Apex is r-99/301 + Peacekeeper. That should cover you for both long range and really close up, get used to one setup.

Skills in apex are a bit special, while they are handy, they can also act to your disadvantage. Gibraltar shield would be prime example. While it blocks shots from coming in, it also blocks your shots going out. Enemies usually know this, and they can work an incorrectly placed shield to their advantage by walking in and out at the edge and shooting back at you. Pathfinder Q can be a death sentence if you position yourself incorrectly with it. Lifeline ulti is a beacon that tells every enemy where you are and that they should come to you. What I'm trying to say is that you should consider all the strengths and weaknesses of character abilities.

    3. Aslong as you can run the game and play it, your gear shouldn't really matter much since you're playing against people equally geared, if not less.

Also you should consider getting glasses, not just for the gaming aspect but your health. I'm not a doctor, but I can't imagine your eyes getting better from getting strained by focusing even harder with faulty an eye.

    - Also dont forget that a game is supposed to be fun, try to stay positive when gaming. Consider adding people you meet ingame and mesh well with for your next games. Usually people dont mind that and it will make communication easier.

I wish you good luck in your endeavor.
