    Pc Problem

Hey I have this strange problem with my pc.
First of all its custom built and I've had it for around 2 to 3 years.
Last summer in 2017 my pc would just randomly restart and sometimes turn off and not turn back on.
It would also do this really strange thing that my lights in my pc would flicker but the pc wouldn't turn on.
Also I would have barely have anything open and it would say my cpu usage is at %100. The crazy thing is that it only happened during the summer and it wasn't because it was hot or snyrhing. And now summer is starting again and it's starting to do that again. The strange thing is that everytime I open my computer just to check it, it doesn't have any problems for a fe few weeks. Anyone got any ideas on why this is happening?

What's the specs? Use speccy if you don't know.
What sort of temperatures are you getting? again, speccy.
What sort of cpu cooling do you have?
What sort of programs are you running when it hits 100%?

(Amd Radeon 380) <- graphics card
    (One terabyte of HDD)
    (High five 4460)
    *8gb of g skill ram)
    (600 watt power supply)
Cpu cooler (cooler master hyper 212 evo)
Motherboard (Asrock h97m pro 4 micro atx)
Case (cooler master n200 micro atx mid tower case)
    (Standard optical drive)

I'm not sure what tempatures I'm getting but it's usually %100 when I open fortnite. Sometimes without fortnite it's %100 but when I go to task manager to see everything that's using cpu it's only like 4% usage but it still says 100%

Open speccy and take a screenshot of temps after a round of fortnite.
Speccy also shows the exact names and brands of most components, as ‘high five’ is just wrong lol

Odd. Can you play some fortnite with task manager enabled and see what goes to 100%? Screenys work best.
Seems like your gpu is very hot. Do you have casefans? That’s not a good temperature for a gpu

There is your problem. You don’t have an SSD, which is considered a must for modern pc’s nowadays. Find any name brand 120GB+ drive and run windows off that. If you don’t know how to install it have someone do it. Shouldn’t be more then like 100$ to have it done if you have a windows 10 key.

If anything an ssd will make your pc 10 times faster. If it’s not a solution to your problem you can transfer it to a new pc anyways

SSD is a much, much faster drive that is usually used to boot windows and some programs while HDD's are used to store data and bigger programs that don't get opened often..
For example: boot time on HDD can be 20 seconds, boot time on an SSD is usually 5 seconds or less.

You should disable startup programs, they consume a lot of resources

Before you do any major changes.
Do you clean the inside of your pc? I used to have similar problem because my pc used to be dusty.
Also make sure to check if your drivers are up to date
Also if you are playing games etc, it best to keep the PC set to high performance. I believe windows default is set to "balanced".

@Cas is SSD something that I download or something that I physically buy and put into my computer. P.s it's the gpu that is always hitting 100% some odd reason. Any fixes?

SSD = a disk that's physically in your computer. Have someone install it for you, shouldn't be expensive if you have like a computer shop near your home. Make sure to ask they install windows 10 on that disk and set the computer to run off it instead of the slowass HDD that's already in there.

If you're hitting 100% on your GPU, that means your graphic settings are too high for the graphics card you have in your PC. That's not awfully uncommon when it's an older card. Turn your settings down, and check how much VRAM (video RAM) it uses, most games say so. If the game doesn't say how much ram it will use, just turn everything to medium or even low for better performance.

I'm currently not home at the moment but when I get home I'll send a pic. Another thing Is for some reason when I open my pc just to look around and occasionally unplug and plug something back in, it doesn't turn off randomly like it usually does. When i do check the task manager at disk highest usage, it's usually like something that has 0.01 but it still stays 100 percent disk being used HALP @Shattered Reflection
