Pc doesnt reconize recordable cd's?

Hey i need help big time, My computer for some reason all of sudden wont recognize my Cd's when i want to try and burn one. And im talking like on my computer notihng even shows up on my E drive or Windows Media Player or Itunes. So it wont even let me burn a CD. Or even when i try to put in a Album Cd it wont do anything or show that its even there.

please any help soon as possible would help

You mean your drive won't recognize any CDs you try to use at all then? My advice is this, and if you're unsure about anything, try to get parent or a computer nerd to help:

Confirm whether Windows is the problem or whether your CD drive is broken by putting a bootable CD into your drive (like a Linux LiveCD or a Windows recovery disk) and booting from it when you turn on your computer.
If the bootable CD is recognized, the problem is to do with software, and not the drive itself. There are lots of guides available online on how to troubleshoot a CD-ROM drive on Windows in this case.

If the bootable CD isn't recognized, your CD drive is broken.
