Paypal stole 300$

Ok, I had about 400 $ in my paypal several months ago, and I used to sell RSGP offsite to people i knew.

ONE person scammed me, and did a chargeback, but it was for a 100$ so for whatever reason paypal limited my account. My visible balance was 300$

I then didnt bother checking/unlimiting PP for a long time and i logged in a few days ago.

And the balance was 0, I emailed them ASAP. They claimed to have credited my card issuer the 300$ , but ive checked my card statements, the 300$ is not to be seen. WTF? am i completely jacked? Should i call up PP.

 

Call them up and tell your story.

I find this hard to believe. Why would they scam you? and for 400 dollars? I call bs.

 

Call them and see what they say, then call your bank.

 

If you google paypal scam you will learn a lot. They purposely limit 100,000s of American paypals yearly in hopes the customer can't verify the account. They know a lot of foreigners use American paypals. So they will limit them and they know even after 180 days they will not withdraw the funds since the identity used is fake. A lot of foreigners do honest work for paypal money on sites like digitalpoint. Anyways they do countless shady things beside what I said above. You will even find interviews with ex employees regarding similar issues.

tbh when your acc got limited you should of called them since then .

 

They are a bitch to work with. I have $700 on limited account. I'd be surprised if I ever see that back. [Well after 180 days]

 

The Fuckers limited my account 2, 400 euro's on it. Did send the things they asked and now have to wait 180 days for my money.

 

i've got over $200 limited myself, any paypal account i make and send money i instantly get limited i have done all the steps to "Resolve" it and they still said no, paypal is fucked up.

 

So im making this thread for attention?

I should have called them as soon as it was limited. Its just that I waited a long time and didnt bother getting the 300$ back i thought it was safe, id upload my utility bills etc later when i could be bothered. Not letting this money go without a fight though.

 

I would phone then tell them whats happened and if they try to ignore you take it up with your bank they help sort it for sure.

 

They are morons. They closed my account due to "suspicious activity", the DAY I FUCKING SHIP BOTH OF MY BRAND NEW IPADS ON EBAY. Gives me no option to verify my account to reduce limitations. I know I should of dealt with craigslist, but people were offering me much less. I had to borrow money from my parents to pay for rent that month because I was unemployed. (This was 2 months ago) I ask them to give my fucking money back via phone and they said "I'm very sorry sir, but we hold limited funds for 180 days", even though before then I haven't transacted in over 2 months. Fucking bullshit.

I phoned them today and they said we will hold the funds for 180 days and the is nothing what can be done about that... Fucking morons!

 

I'd contact your bank, because paypal are pretty much stealing from you if you didn't send the funds to anyone. The bank should be able to sort it.

 

I would recommend you call up your bank and see whats going on, usually they are better mediators than paypal is when it comes to chargebacks.

 

Like i said my account was limited and the want to close it, i called them and they told me to wait 180 days. I now chargedback 360 euro's from paypal from my last payment. Assholes...
