PayPal Scams!?!?!?

Thats right. You heard me correctly.

Paypal is a scam. I have been a member of their site for quite some time, and now they randomly decide to limit my PayPal account. I do not know why, but I know that they have no reasonable explanation as to why they've limited my account.

The real reason?

- They limit your account so they can let it rot for 180 days and earn intrest on the money in your PayPal account.

This is a true fact and I for one, am actually going to take legal action.

Call me a joke and say nothing will happen, but I am going to take legal action, because this site is a joke.

I have read up on this happening to other people and they all say the same thing. "I never did anything "suspicious" to earn a limited accessed account."

Adding your bank account or credit card does nothing to unlock the limitation on your account. I have tried.

I am going to call them tommorow morning and give them my two cents.

If they deny me access to retrieve my money, I am going to take legal action, like said before.

Just wanted to let you all know that PayPal is a scam, and watch out.

Good, finally someone takes action against gaypal.

 

Try reading their ToS. They can suspend service for any reason.

Since you're on Sythe, I'll assume your suspicious activity constitutes purchases without proof of shipping or you unknowingly made trades with other frauded accounts.

OT: PayPal isn't scamming exactly. It's a mass service that you willingly chose to join, accepted to their terms of service, etc. It sucks, but it happens.

Read the ToS, If you have sent money to some one and they think you shouldn't have then they can Limit your account.

 

Taking legal action wouldn't really get you anywhere, they would have better lawyers, and essentially, you'll be losing money. How much is it limited at?
If it's like $10,000 I understand, but for the sake of $200 I wouldn;t take legal action.

 

I very much doubt paypal are a scam. Their huge online if they were to 'scam' anyone they'd be shut down quicker than you can shut down your pc.Its like Microsoft scamming people. Im sure if you investigate it thoroughly they've got the authority to limit your account whenever they please.

 

That probably explains why they just sent me a $50.00 check, scammers.

 

It's called small claims court bud.

 

What I don't get is, I don't accept/send no payments and get limited within 24 hours.

 

Try proxying, you're IP address is on their database, soon they will stop you creating accounts from that IP address.


OT: You're talking to someone who has had at least 30 limited Paypal accounts, adding up to $1700 in losses. THEY DO NOT GET UNLIMITED AFTER 180 DAYS.

After a certain number, they take your IP address and any Paypal used by that address is looking at a limitation within hours/days. They can also stop you creating another account on your IP address.
