PayPal Question about CC Payments

Hello. Well there's something I dont get about PP..

The thing is I sold an account right? We did Claim and Cancel, etc. Ok so he sent $250 and I was charged a $16 fee. That means he payed with a credit card. Now, my account is not verified (personal account, no CC attached) so I can not take CC payments, right? So how did this happen?

According to a guide I read, if you keep your account unverified, you cant take CC payments, thus once someone has payed with another PP account, claimed and cancelled, the money is definitely yours. Right? Well this looks like I could take the CC payment anyway, so I guess I was lucky I didnt get scammed? Someone tell me how it works :S

 

No matter it's bank fund or paypal balance the buyer always can charge back the money... Also yes you need to verified or paypal account to accept credit card payments. The buyer might charge back the money anytime, GL.

 

Where do you live? I think it might have something to do with location.

Now if the account isnt CC funded, how can he get the money back ONCE claim and cancel has been done? That's not what the guide on here said :S I'm so confused :S

 

Not true anymore, Paypal changed how easy it is to charge back payments now and if you Claim & Cancel you can't get money taken back with a bank funded Paypal account.

Just make sure you get the buyer to Claim & Cancel, you would know they did this because you will receive and email that a dispute has been opened and then closed. Trading with CC funded Paypal accounts is more risky.
