I did a little research and i think it should run the CPU but could you double check.

Yes I'm pretty sure it would work.

Dual core is double the Ghz and quad core is 4x the Ghz. This processer is 2.66ghz quad core so it would produce around 10 Ghz and a dual core would produce around 5 ghz.
